Battery Replacement Kit for Garmin Nuvi 3490 with Tools, How-to Video and Long Lasting Battery

Worked as expected, and no issues with installation, with the sellers directions.

I brought this because my Garmin would constantly reboot for 20 minutes or so every time I used it. I replaced the battery and now it reboots every few hours. Much better. I think it is heat issue now and not battery related. I would give it 5 stars but the battery connector is weird and instructions were vuaig. I think you have to pull connector up and out to remove and push down and in to insert. I slightly damaged the connector but not enough to create issue.

I previously said that "The battery in my Garmin Nuvi 3490 was loosing its ability to hold a charge so I replaced it with this NewPower 99 battery. Now I have almost no battery life. Every time I use it, it has to have power hooked up to it. Don't buy this product." Following advice to reset the battery that found on Google, I plugged in the Nuvi to the charger, then pressed and held the power button until the screen went blank. This must have worked to reset the battery because it is holding a charge much, much better. Charge has lasted for 3 hours and counting.

Installation was very easy. Price to replace vs a new or even a refurbished GPS was a no brainer.
