Unicorn Adventure Scratch and Sketch: An Art Activity Book for Creative Kids of All Ages

Truly this is a treat for a young child to be able to color within the lines of the picture for them. They soon see a masterpiece come to life with color! It is difficult to find pictures pre-drawn for kids to scratch and color. This does not require thinking in their part and educates them that they can create beautiful drawings and have lots of fun. During this stay at home time, this is a quality book to provide fun while enjoying something new in concept to her.

I got this to have an activity that wouldn't leave markers/paint/glitter everywhere -- there is the black shavings that come with any scratch & sketch, but a more manageable mess than the latter. Loved the blank normal paper pages in the back for normal coloring as well. This book was given to young school age children and they were so encouraged to color on the lines because they did both enjoy the pictures and colors behind the black background. Wouldn't recommend for younger than 5, but ages 5 and over would be fine if they want to maintain the pictures in the book as well.

I will be buying these for various reasons! It has kept my 5 year old entertained for a long time, and I’ve even had fun with it!

My niece loved this gift! She immediately opened it and started tracing the images and was excited to see which colors would appear. She didn't seem as interested in the story (yet) since she was just happy to draw and uncover the unicorns.

My granddaughter loved this and set to work on it right away! The only thing I would note is it does shred black bits once areas have been scratched off in the book. However, I have used a similar product before and that is just the way it goes. It's nature of a scratch pad, not anything defective. Kids love it. Just don't use it over a white couch or any other coveted piece of furniture. We did it on the kitchen table and just wiped the bits up. I gave it t a 6 year-old and she was thrilled with it.

I love this. I am an adult but I have been playing around with this book while I cook in the evenings. It's very relaxing. I edit the lineart to my liking. You can scratch off the white outlines as well as the black area. I haven't figured out what best to color the white storybook pages with yet as it is a somewhat glossy paper. It seems like cheap markers work better than prismacolors. I might also try acrylic and crayon. I will be testing mediums to add new white lines and matte blacks that will blend to further manipulate the images. If you're creative and just want something easy and fun, go for it! I bet I would have loved this as a child and I think your kids will like it too.

It was so fun and my daughter took it to school and was able to allow her friends to share pages. It was a hit for second grade.

I gave this to my granddaughter for Christmas. She loved it!

Un libro de muy buena calidad y divertido para los niños.

At first I thought this was a bit expensive but when it arrived I realised why. It's good and sturdy and pure magic! My daughter is obsessed with unicorns and not only does this book allow her to colour but the scratching aspect enables her to turn black paper into rainbow sparkling unicorns and wizards! Another great aspect to this is that your child is able to illustrate the story which in turn makes the 'reading part ' really appealing. Yes it is much more than I'd dream of spending on an average colouring book but for a special treat I think this is wonderful!

Ottima attivita' per bambini. Le pagine hanno delle tracce che possono essere seguite per disegnare I vari soggetti ma danno allo stesso tempo spazio alla fantasia dei bambini che si possono dilettare e disegnare cio' che piu' piace loro. Preso per una bambina di 4 anni, convinta che il libro sia magico. Consigliato!

This book kept 3 generations busy! Theres something about scratching and revealing the colourfulness underneath which cancels out all the noise of the outside world! Can't wait to buy the other themes!
