Great beginner power kite - outstanding quaility
Great kite! Well worth the money. Perfect for families to try out power kits. Bought the kite for beach vacation; build quality and materials are all top of the line; no corners were cut. Comes with everything needed to get you flying in seconds; un-roll the two strings; un-tangle the two lines and your flying. Nice to see a complete package with no add-ons required to get going. Flying: The 2 line kite is very simple to fly and can be learned/controlled by anyone in a matter of minutes. Pull left to go left; pull right to go right; controls are very natural; kite is extremely stable and fun. Has to wrist straps that allow simple operation and use. Power: Flew the kite in 10-15mph; it has low-moderate pull and does not pull hard when it gusts; safe for children in any wind conditions under 15mph. I would go with big buzz vs buzz unless you are flying with very small children; as the bigger kite will still fly somewhat in low wind conditions. Allows you to learn the fundamentals without your arms being yanked out of the sockets. Durability Took many, many many crashes and abuse over a week; still looks new and going strong. Really not much that can break on the kite; great design. Other: Comes with a string holder and bag to transport the kite. Cons: Once you get a taste; you will instantly want to buy a bigger kite with 4 lines and a more aggresive power design. The flexifoil rage was added to my collection soon after flying.

A terrific flight experience!
This is an amazing kite! Let's begin with the basics, material and construction. This kite is made with quality materials, the rip-stop material is strong but light-weight. The control lines are sturdy and withstand serious gusts of wind that can possible drag the pilot along if they are not ready for it. The stitching is well done and consistent meaning there are no skipped areas along the stich path. Missing stitches translate into somewhat erratic behavior when flying. The next thing, replacement parts. Inspite of being well built, eventually all things wear out, specifically the control lines. The folks at flexfoil must be hands on type of people as they built this kite for the average person to replace lines easily. Other kites have the control lines stitched into the kite itself, FlexFoil as attachment loops stitched to the kite so the control lines can easily be replaced. This means that while Flexfoil can perform the task for a small fee, I can do it myself for free! No shipping or waiting for it to come back. The control lines to the kite are solid as well as the lines down to the pilot. These lines have to be at lease a 250lb test, and from experience, this is needed when flying on a windy day and doing trick/stunt flying. I bought a couple of other kites from other manufacturers for a cheap price, you get what you pay for, cheap material, cheap control lines and overall poor craftsmanship. Lastly, flight and take off. You will read other reviews about how two people are necessary to launch this kite, these folks also pay AAA to change a tire when they have a good spare in the trunk, get my drift? Solo launch is easy but you have to be careful as once the kite takes off, the control lines get real tight real fast! Once in the air, this kite really is a joy to operate. Be warned, EVERYONE crashes a few times at first, its the nature of the beast when learning to operate new equipment. Once you get the hang of it, you will be doing dives with last minute pull ups that are amazing to see! I will say that on a windy day, you will get a workout keeping up with this kite. For the doubters out there, remember the 250lb test control lines, well this kite can pull a 230lb man several feet with little effort. Lastly, safety first. This kite is not for small pilots, meaning pilots under say 80 pounds on a windy day with winds exceeding 20MPH. This kite size has some serious lift and can potentially drag you along of you run your wrists through the control line straps. A big guy like me can handle it easily enough, I am a solid anchor, but not so much for the lighter framed pilots. On the other hand, it's a bit of a rush when you are piloting under these conditions, but this type of flying is not for everyone. You may want to consider the 1.45m kite instead, it is just as much fun. Finally, you might want to have a second person with you, you will need crowd control when flying. Everybody wants to see the kite and how it's flown, great conversation starter! It's a great kite! I highly recommend this unit. Steer clear of the cheaper knock-off, your initial flight experience will be discouraging enough to make the kite a closet queen, never to be heard or seen from again. Safe flight everyone.

great solid starter stunt kite!
This was my first foil kite after many years of flying framed stunt kites. Overall I'd recommend it as a beginner to intermediate level stunt kite. It has a moderate amount of pull and can be a little twitchy in light wind until you get the feel of it but you're getting quite a bit for the money. The lines and grips are good, the bag is fantastic, and it is well built and designed. Be careful at the beach since the outer tips seem to fill up with sand easily and are tricky to empty because of the air pocket design. It's not going to drag you (or a medium sized child) around but it's a lot of fun and a great way to learn and enjoy the basics of stunt kiting.

Good clean fun
I got this to get started on power kite flying. Also, because it was said to be easy to learn and comes complete with everything you need. I decided to give it a try. The result: all claims are true. Very easy to learn. It did take about 10-15 minutes to get a feel for it, but once I got it I was flying it well. Not a lot of pull but enough to make fun and and get exercise and perfect for kids of all ages. Very sturdy and well built and one of the best ways to have fun at the beach. I already want a more powerful kite, but I am glad to have this. It's compact and easy to carry in the storage bag, super easy to set up and get flying. Time goes quickly with this kind of fun. Get one. It's worth the money.

After much searching online I came across this trainer kite. Having owned trainer kites before I was impressed by the quality of this kite - it's easily worth the extra $$$ and will last as well.

This kite is great. It needs a bit of wind to fly and once it's airborne it fun to control. The two handles make it very manoeuvrable. In a strong wind it may be able to lift a lighter person off the ground.

Purchased for my 21 year old son who loves to "play" and he has loved it from day one. Recently took it out skating on a local lake and was able to be pulled (all 6"4" of him). Will be going the next size or two up in the future as he is quickly adapting to this and needs more pull.
