Child binoculars
He loves them, he’s fascinated by hearing the birds in the trees and looking forward to lighter nights. They are a bit bulky and the thin strap would be more comfortable if it was thicker but really good toy xx

Sturdy and fun
Loved by 5 Yr old who can climb to top of climbing frame and both see and hear the birds.

Meh
They are ok, the amplify sound all around but unsure if the actual view out is good. As an adult it gives double vision but my kid hasn't touched it since Christmas day

Bonkers Binoculars
My child has asked for some random things and one was a pair of binoculars. They could have asked for any toy and they want something scientific instead - they are a better person than I. Learning Resources should have produced the ideal solution with their binoculars, they even called them 'Kidnoculars'. These 'Kidnoculars' are certainly made with children in mind. They are fashioned from robust and colourful plastic so they can take being dropped. They need to be as they are dropped regularly. The strap that is included comes with an anti-strangle element that comes apart should someone grab the binoculars. Unfortunately. this strap cannot handle the weight of the binoculars hanging from someone's neck so is constantly snapping and sending the thing to the floor. Despite this my child loves these 'Kidnoculars', they think they are a real botanist. If you have a go yourself, you will discover the magnification is not great and the sound element is not that keen. It is almost like being made for a child means that you can supply something that does not do a great job. Despite all the faults it has proved popular, so if you know a small child that eagerly wants a pair of their own bins, they will love these. Although I think the smaller set of plastic theatre binoculars, I got them, offer a far better magnification. Look upon 'Kidnoculars' as a toy and not a tool and you are on the right track.

Ridiculous price for what it is
For the price you could buy fairly decent real binoculars that would be far far better if the child is interested. These really are rubbish and particularly for this price. They don't magnify much beyond actual size and the plastic lenses are poor quality and distort what you can see. I bought these because a relative wanted them for their child but I do think there are far better things to spend £21 on than this. £5 would seem a lot.
