FINIS Positive Drive Fin

I recommend these for both beginners and intermediate swimmers, in particular, for those who are keen to improving their breaststroke. A key in breaststroke is to catch water by your soles (and calves). The equipment tells you how to move your legs and feet to achieve this effectively. My 50m breaststroke time was improved from 36s to 32s in a year! Because the toe of the fine is not open, the fin gets too tight during training and I have to stop to loosen it. This is the only downside for me.

I bought XL size but for my 43 size feet fins were tight hurting toes so I had to cut out holes for toes. When kicking breaststroke fins (because of their special shape, I think) are twisting knee joints stronger than the same kick without fins and this is not safe for my sensitive knees so I use the fins only for free style or butterfly kick.

Fast and efficient

They fit nicely (and are easily adjustable), they allow me to do both front crawl and breast stroke (haven't tried others). It took me a while to figure out how to do the breast stroke with these (old-fashioned breast stroke, not the new-fangled one where you kick down), and it works perfectly for me now. It really gives my lower body a very good work out and I can give my arms and upper body more of a break as I don't want to build more muscle on my shoulders/back. They are very pleasing to swim in, very comfortable, light and small to pack and most pools now permit these. I absolutely love them and wish I had found something similar ages ago - it changed my swim to be much more fun. In comparison to other swimming fins that I tried in the past, these don't seem to make my legs float - with the maru swim fins I always felt that it was pushing my feet almost to the surface of the water, which clearly must be counter-productive. These are just neutral, they are where my feet would normally be - they don't float, nor do they sink. Fantastic.

Good quality but sadly XL was too big for my size 7 feet.

I lap swim a mile four times a week and I never take these fins off. They work for all strokes and don't tire out your leg muscles at all. At this point i can't swim without them. I've had the same pair for years and have not had to replace them. The heel are adjustable so that takes care of size issues. My speed is much improved. I love them. I only wish Finis would change the color : (.

Une amie me les avait fait essayer, je les ai commandées et dès le premier jour d'utilisation fait essayer à deux autres amies … qui les commandent également. L'exercice avec ces palmes est très efficace et, effectivement, on ne risque pas de blesser les autres. A recommander pour développer la technique et la force. Comme l'attache, très fragile, s'est cassée après deux mois d'utilisation, j'ai pris contact avec l'importateur FINIS pour l'Europe (en Bulgarie). Ils m'ont, le même jour, envoyé de nouvelles attaches. Service remarquablement efficace et fiable donc. Produit à conseiller vivement.

These work well and are easy to get along with. An aid to swim training, and a boost when swiming in the ocean. I also bought longer fins, but they were hard work over distance and less easy to use.
