FOUR E'S SCIENTIFIC 1-10ml High-Accurate Single-Channel Manual Adjustable Variable Volume Pipettes

UPDATED REVIEW (2024-04-05): After posting my critical review (below) the company immediately reached out to me and offered to refund my purchase or send a replacement. I was frustrated with my original items defects, but considering the companies rapid polite & professional response I decided it was appropriate to give the product a second chance, it is possible after all that the original device I received was purely a defective unit, an anomaly. They sent me a replacement that arrived within a few days and that replacement has been performing properly since I received it. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars. I of course understand that occasionally products may be shipped with a defect. When considering products to buy online, more important than any rare defect, is a companies demonstrated history of good customer service. This company resolved my issue rapidly which makes me comfortable purchasing from them in the future. As such I now recommend this pipette. My replacement is working as it should and the price is very reasonable. Previous review below (2024-03-20) Very disappointed. Pipette lasted 30 days. After 31 days it is now inaccurate by OVER 20%. This is basically a toy that falls apart rapidly. This pipette should not be used for any purpose that requires even semi-accurate measurements. The only purpose I can see for this is to give it to your kids so they can pretend to do science experiments. Or maybe for something like mixing food coloring for coloring Easter eggs. I was using it to measure liquid extracts for adding to recipes, but even for that purpose I feel it is unsuited. I tested it when I got it and it accurately dispensed 5ml. NOW when I choose the 5ml setting it dispenses 6ml. When I select 4ml it dispenses 4.8ml. That is 20% EXTRA. An eye dropper style squeeze pipette is more accurate because at least it has volume measuring lines on the tube. The frustrating part is my Amazon return window literally closed two days ago.

Easy to use, great instructions and great quality! Gives. Me the accuracy and precision to deliver the minute quantity of medication my guinea pig need.

This functions exactly as you expect and is extremely accurate. I love how easy it makes measuring liquids. This is my first time with this brand and see no reason to choose anyone else in the future!

When I got my pipette, I got maybe 200 uses out of it before it broke. When I ejected a tip, the entire inner sleeve broke...clip cracked and the inside shot out into the garbage can. The rest of the unit in my hand shortly followed. I’m not a high volume user as I use this for just adding a ml or so of essential oils to topical formulations. If I was in micro, this wouldn’t have lasted a day. When Four E's Scientific was informed of my issue they took action: Corrective Action: My broken unit was immediately replaced. Not only did they replace it but they gave me 3 of them! And shipping...I got them with a day or two. Preventive Action: Four E's Scientific ensured me their QA department will pay extra attention to this potential problem area when my unit broke and preform extra testing to ensure integrity. I fully support these guys. Great Job!

Four E's works really well and seems well built, unlike the other brands I tried first and had to return. It isn't super accurate but it is close enough for our use. Easy to clean. I'd buy this again.

This instrument broke after about the 25th sample I got to. There's a tiny piece of low quality plastic that holds the eject mechanism in place. This was the first thing to go. Once it broke, the pipette was nonfunctional, seeing as the only way to remove the tip now was to pull it off. With over 200 samples at a time, this is not a suitable way to use it. I was using it with standard 1 mL tips. I will definitely be spending the money for one that doesn't break so quickly next time.

In my original review I said this item was not accurate not realizing that the plunger was two stage. Actually it is very accurate. To draw fluid only press the plunger to the first stop then to the second to dispense. You don't use the second stop to draw up fluid.

Very good for the price. Easy to calibrate and use very happy with this item.

This product came totally inaccurate. The 5.0 ml setting pipes out 7 ml liquid. The 4.0 ml setting pipes out 5 ml of liquid. There is a setting to calibrate, however buyer beware if you do not already possess a calibrated instrument to fix this one.

Initially I was so in love with this product. I use it quite often, but it broke irreparably after just three months of use. Thankfully, the producer refunded the full price and the situation was resolved.
