I recently replaced the lid on my Rio 180 with the iQuatics Universal Fish Tank Lid, and it’s been a great upgrade. Here’s my review: Pros: Excellent Fit: The lid fits perfectly on my Rio 180, offering a snug and secure closure without gaps. It’s designed well to fit the tank precisely, and I didn’t have to worry about any adjustments. Durable Construction: The lid feels solid and high-quality. It’s made from strong materials, so I know it’ll last longer than the original lid. Sleek Design: The lid has a clean, simple look that blends nicely with the tank. It also keeps the tank looking neat and tidy, with no excess openings. Cons: No Ventilation: Since it doesn’t have any holes for ventilation, it can cause some condensation inside the tank. I’ve had to be extra cautious with humidity levels. Overall Thoughts: The iQuatics Universal Fish Tank Lid Replacement has been a perfect fit for my Rio 180. It’s durable, looks great, and does the job well, although the lack of ventilation can be a minor downside. Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a solid, reliable replacement lid, just be mindful of the ventilation issue.

The product appealled as it was sold as not having any cut outs or unsightly handles or recesses. I've never used any auto feeders etc so have had no use for them. The product looks sleek initially and at first I was very pleased. It overhauled the look of my Jewel Rio 180 tank and made it look sleek and tidy, however this has not lasted! All corners of the lid sections have turned up and now stand proud of the tank. As you can see from the images, I can see straight into the tank without having to lift the lid, very annoying having thrown away the original panels which were, at least able to lay flat on the tank! The magnetic handle is useless and holds no weight at all, let alone the lid!! In all I would say the material isn't up to par and the product isn't fit for purpose. To try and get any replacement/refund has not been possible through amazon as it is like pulling teeth, hence this review! Back to the drawing board!!

Will fit an existing Juwel lighting system and looks good. There is a however a design flaw in that the magnetic knob will too easily detach on opening the lid causing to drop down (scaring the fish in my tank). I went back to my old Juwel lid which has a recessed opening handle. A solution to the iQuatics lid would be to superglue the magnetic knob in place.

Really well made, simple , sturdy . These are great replacements for the standard covers , they don’t have the removable parts for feeding which is a plus in my eyes as they always gather limescale . You could feed through the handle hole if you wanted ,as the small circle flips to open it …it creates a small hole to feed through . But I just prefer to open the lid
