Great TV for a great price
I got this TV to replace on old 46" Samsung DLP that I've had for eight years. I was looking for a TV that would be good for gaming. A friend of mine has an LG plasma and gaming on it is buttery smooth, so I was assuming the experience would be the same with this TV. I'm happy to say that my assumption is correct.I really like the app store and smart features. It's my first smart TV, so I have nothing to compare the smart features to, but I still find the interface to be functional and aesthetically pleasing. Sometimes the TV doesn't pick up button presses because of input lag (like when I was typing in my password for Netflix, for example) but it isn't really a big deal to me. The TV doesn't have wifi capabilities internally; you'll need a dongle to connect to wi-fi. I bought this TV from Adorama Camrea (free shipping and out of state, so no sales tax) and it came with the dongle, but if yours doesn't come with it, contact LG and they'll send you one for free. The dongle connects via USB and has a little velcro strip with glue. Just attach it to the back of the TV. The TV does have an ethernet port. The picture is very good especially when I take into account how small my living room is. The screen is too big for how close I sit to it, so I'm sure it's even better when sitting at the proper distance. I've read that the TV should be one-third the size of the distance you'll be sitting from it.My Xbox One picked up this TV immediately and I'm able to use the OneGuide for channels, which is nice, since the console couldn't pick up my old TV. I forgot to set the TV to game mode, so the input lag was awful until I adjusted it. Afterward, I noticed no lag, and I was murdering the AI on Battlefield 4's campaign with ease. So for gaming, this TV is great so far.The TV comes with three HDMI ports (I wish it had four, but you can't have everything), three USB 2.0 ports (wish they were 3.0 but again, you can't have everything), and one set of AV inputs (the color coded ones). It also has the ones for composite, but I don't use those.I have this TV mounted on a stand and mount set I got from Walmart, so I can't comment on the included stand's functionality.Overall, this is a great TV, and thus far, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Seriously, it's junk!
This is a truly horrible television. Every bad review about it is an gross understatement. If you care about picture quality and viewing pleasure, then I implore you to consider anything else. My Panasonic 720p LCD has a far superior picture to this piece of garbage.

Definitely not a Panasonic.
Good picture but.......many annoying little things like long delays between channel changes and an annoying disconnect between picture and sound when using a home theater system. If your receiver will not do sound delay do not buy. I would not recommend this unit. As mush as I love plasma, if I had a do over I'd buy an LED if no other plasma was available.

Awesome TV!!!
Have used this TV for several months now and I can now safely recommend it. I use this to play xbox 360 and ps4 and it does the job quite well. It might be my settings, but this TV really shows its muscles when the room is dark.I did run into a brunt screen ( A game had a mini map the burned it's image on the screen), but was easily fixed. Fix: Find a TV station that is all white and black static. Leave the TV on that station until the TV turns itself off. BAM!!! No More Burned Image. In fact, I never had any issues of burned images after that.

Poor quality
I recently purchased this TV and after a week a green dot became apparent on the TV. LG is making it extremely difficult to get the TV repaired and I plan on return it. Do not buy this TV

An overall great TV but has certain flaws
Took me nearly two weeks to calibrate and picture quality varies from rather good to excellent depending on source. The only real issue in terms of picture quality are the black levels which are mediocre at best and in some cases poor. With the right settings however, it'll give a fantastic performance in most other aspects. Color accuracy is great, so is contrast. Fast movement look sharp, like they should on a plasma. If you're planning to buy this TV, use a Blu-Ray player and give it a shot by calibrating it in ISF mode (custom settings can also be found on forums but may not suit your room). With patience, you'll get very satisfied and it's surprising to see how much value you can get even with a cheap TV these days. For gamers, I wouldn't recommend this TV due to high input lag (somewhere around 60ms).
