Well-made and long lasting
Bought this a few years ago and it has stood up to weekly use.

Great Stringer
This is a great stringer. It works like it should and looks like it will last a good long time. Fits great into a small possibles bag and you should have no problem using it to string your bow. This can save you a lot of heartache if you use this to string your traditional bow. Some folks like the step through-it method, but you can seriously damage your bow by giving it a permanent curve where it is not supposed to have one. For the price, get this stringer and keep your bow in great shape.

Worked, but not the best design for my bow
I bought this stringer to put the string on a 68" custom made 46# wooden recurve barebow. A 46# recurve is no joke and I am pretty strong guy, but I could not get it to work. The saddle end kept sliding down toward the riser which made it pretty ineffective at bending the limbs.I was about to give up and send it back until I watched a YT video where the guy used a similar style stringer on a strong-ish recurve. The trick was he used two feet instead of one to hold down the stringer. What that does is allow you to put more pressure directly under the floating saddle to keep it from sliding down toward the riser. Using two feet I was able to keep the saddle closer to the limb tip and while it was still not easy, I was able to string the bow. I suspect over time I will get the technique down and it will get easier. So yeah it worked, but one with a cup on each end would have worked better with this particular bow. While they may sell a lot of these style, it is not the best design in my opinion. It works, but depending on the poundage and length of the bow, there might be better stringers out there.

I had my doubts.
I have a fiberglass recurve bow. I always strung it by stepping through it and bending the bow back. I needed a new string and that was going to be very expensive. So I bought another bow that came with a string. This one is wooden. I was afraid I'd break it. The stringer's instructions are a little hard to understand, but I finally figured it out. My new bow is strung and I can't wait to try it out.

Works Okay but Slides Back Under Pressure
I recently got a new bow that has tiny limb tips. This means my usual bow stringer with tip covers is not working. There are many bow stringers like this "SOPOGER", where one end covers the bottom tip of the bow and the other end slides freely along the limb. With the leather end pieces, I wasn't worried about damaging the finish on my bow. That's about where the benefit stops, though. Unfortunately, the leather, while soft on the limb wood, is slick. When pulling the bow up with a foot on the middle of the stringer, you have to keep pressure on the sliding end of the stringer to keep it from slipping up the limb towards the center of the bow. This is difficult to do and then follow by pushing the bow string end into place on the top tip. I'm usually nervous the entire time that the stringer will slip suddenly, causing the bow essentially to dry-fire. Or any other potential damage.I am thinking of devising a small fix by adding a more tacky piece of rubber to the underside of the strap. Otherwise, I wish I had bought a different stringer like those with the rubber "foot" that gives better traction against the upper limb.

Doesn’t have pouch on each end of stringer
Not what I was expecting. Ones I always used years ago had a small pouch on each end. This one only has one pouch and a flat leather part on the other. Didn’t work for me or the other people that tried it. Probably good for someone else. Steep recurve bow and loose end slides to center area of bow while holding end of stringer.
