Works great, and here is the Ingredients

Someone complained that no Ingredients were listed,So here they are:Ingredients:PCMX (Chloroxylenol) - AntisepticTriclosan - Antibacterial and antifungal agent.Amorphous Silica - thickening agent, or absorbent (helps clotting)Terpineol BP (Fragrance) - Fragrance compound with some antimicrobial properties. (may also contribute mild antiseptic effects.)Absorrbo HP (Starch) - Absorbent agent. (Absorbs moisture, keeps skin dry)The effectsDisinfect the wound area (PCMX, Triclosan)Prevent infection by killing or stopping the growth of bacteria and fungiAbsorb moisture to keep the wound dry and speed up healing (Absorrbo HP/Starch, Amorphous Silica)Soothe the area and reduce odor or discomfort (Terpineol BP as fragrance and mild antiseptic)I have this and recommend it, I had a large dog that may crack his claws or scratch him self and leave a cutThis worked great, but clean the wound firstDon’t use it on deep wounds or burns and avoid inhalation of the powder

Worked a treat

Absolutely amazing! I can’t believe it dried up my pugs sore area in less than 24 hours. The sore was the size of a 50p and looking very sloughy.I wish I’d of known about the powder before he reached 10, bless him. But Ii now think it’s an absolute must for any minor scuffs and scratches to prevent any worsening.

Average

Tbh it didn’t do much. Started off thinking it was. But then when I stopped it for a few days the wound seemed to heal betterThe application is fiddly. Apparently there’s a similar type of thing on here by a different brand that’s got a spray puffer thing ...which would be much easierI basically wet the end of 2-3 cotton buds and did it that way. By dipping it into the powder and applying onto the cut ...but half the powder would drop off in the process ...hence using a few buds to try and get as much powder on the woundOk. Wasn’t an impressed as the reviews said. May try a different brand with the puffer spray next time ...for the price I guess there’s nothing to lose and trying itI also would add I made up a saline solution of warm water and salt. Originally using boiling water out a kettle to make sure water is sterile. Adding salt. 2-3 teaspoons to about 1cm high of water in teacupAnd letting it COOL FIRST TO WARM TEMPERATURE YOU CAN SAFELY PUT YOUR FINGER IN - do not use the boiling water on your pet. Let the water cool down with the salt in it to room temp finger tepid. And put a cotton ball into the tepid water and salt mix. And dab it on wound to clean itPat dry gently with tissue. Then add the antiseptic powder. I wouldn’t add the powder on a dirty wound - I cleaned my pets wound daily with the warm saltwater. Then added the powder after dryingI also put a plaster gently over the wound after applying the powder so my cat wouldn’t lick it offBe very careful do not apply the plaster tightly as it can cut circulation off and give your pet paws that swell up 5 times the sizeMade that rookie mistake once and it scared me to death seeing his paw ten times the size. I immediately took the bandage off and after a few hours his paw went back to normal size. Their circulation is so sensitive so best have a loose light fitting plaster that may fall off in an hour or so. Than cut their circulation offTbh my cat would lick at the plaster and in an hour it’d be hanging off to which I’d pull it off as that’s fine. It was only on to allow the powder to settle in. Once it’s done that the plaster can come off after half an hour or an hour. Wounds need air to dry out too so a mixture of plaster to protect the powder while it gets to work and then letting it breathe abit by taking it off is a good mixAfter a week that’s when it had started to heal abit better without the powder so I left the plaster off and stopped the powder and let it healOn it’s own. Still being vigilantHope that helps

Lifesaver for a Stubborn Paw Wound

Don't usually reivew but highly recommend this for helping with wounds, particularly when having trouble with healing. My dog had what looked like a burst blister between his middle two toes. I’d been soaking and spraying it with antiseptic for days, but because of where it was and all the moisture, it just wouldn’t heal. Every time it started to scab, it would reopen and go a bit gooey. I put this powder on just once before bed and by the next morning it had already started to scab properly. Now, just a few days later, it’s basically healed. Application is a bit odd but wasn't too bad - I laid a towel on the floor, opened his toes, and sprinkled away - felt a bit like applying glitter to paper as a kid!
