The new handle sports a dual-surface design with a slight "bump out" on both sides, though it is still narrow. There is also a sleek, integrated bevel "thumb rest" on both sides that transitions seamlessly to the blade. But most notably, the blades have been made thicker and sport a deeper dual-bevel edge geometry that makes the 10% sharper than the Classic model. And since Global custom balances every blade with sand, each UKON still feels light and nimble. The modern-looking slimline storage block is attractive and it's much more space-conscious and hygienic than traditional blocks. Made in Japan and backed by Global's lifetime warranty.
