Way happier we went Snap instead of the FUJI Instax my sister kept talking about.
Way happier we went Snap instead of the FUJI Instax my sister kept talking about. Why? Let me count the ways. 1) You get that classic instant Polaroid print (perfect wallet size by the way) AND a digital image you can share, post and everything else to show your kids you're cool and living in the past. All you get with the Fuji is a print--whether you want it or not. 2) You tell the camera what to print and how many to print--not the other way around. If I had a dime for every lousy picture that popped out of my dad's One Step, I'd have a lot of dimes. My wife says the "anticipation"--seeing if was worth saving--was part of the fun. I say I'd rather save money knowing I can decide what to print...though if we're in a "retro" mood you can apparently set it for classic auto print...but the choice is yours, not the camera 3) $9.49 gets you 10 Instax prints (whether you like them or not) $9.99 gets you 20 Polaroid SNAP prints (and YOU can pick 'em before you print 'em!) I don't care if you're Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump, why pay almost a buck a print with the Fuji when Polaroid's prints are half that? 4) Really cool brand. Really cool memories. Reason we got the Snap was so my non-digital grandmother could leave my uncle's surprise party with some actual pictures , but once everyone realized our SNAP wasn't just Polaroid in name but Polaroid in instant pictures as well, we had everyone asking us for prints...plus everyone over the age of 20 "had a Polaroid story"...(and not G or PG either), seems people saw the name, the cool little "rainbow stripe" and the pictures coming out...and so did the stories. 5) Good for business. I'm in catering and as much as everything is digital these days, You'd be surprised at how much clients like being handed a print or two, of their custom cake or birthday sushi platter--especially as the Snap is small enough to slip into my jacket pocket without making it look like I'm carrying a gun Is my Snap going to replace my iPhone? Hardly. It DOES take a bit of getting used to as would any traditional type camera at this point And while it doesn't have an LCD viewing screen, the pop-up "optical" (as in glass) viewfinder did the job just fine--even if it DID remind me of some video games from my misspent youth. What it does do is give me one heck of an option when I'm in places where I don't want to waste my phone battery but DO want to be able to take and share actual pictures--not just digital ones. PLUS my Fuji-fanatic sister can't take credit for the fact we made the smarter choice and went with a Polaroid Snap .

LOVE this Snap camera
LOVE this Snap camera! I had an old polaroid camera growing up as a kid, so IMAGINE the excitement when I found this beauty of a camera. This is so easy to use, however there is no manual included in the box it is downloaded off the product page. It was easy to follow, but the manual is not necessary as the camera is very esy to understand how to use. This is JUST the camera, you still have to purchase paper. micro sd card is optional! This has features to add a border, change the color tone to black and white, vintage or regular color. I love the option to change the tone as it gives the feel of even an older photo. Once paper is loaded and you have a full charge you are ready to go. To turn off and on is simple by pressing down on the lense viewer, to pop it open. Your camera is now on and you can push the shutter button and a photo pops out in less than a minute. It starts right away. When the picture comes out it is fully developed not like the old models where you have to sit and wait for it to develop. This camera is so easy to use my 9 year old was using it. I love the little prints and love the fact the premium paper is peel and stick so you can stick them on anything. Camera has a very nice feel to it, not super heavy but has a decent weight to it. Materials are of high quality! I would purchase again. LOVE this camera. Would make a kid or an enthusiastic camera junkie a very nice present. I received this camera for free for testing and reviewing purposes. This is my honest unbiased opinion and have come to it by using the camera myself.

It is what you expect! Fun & retro
Here's what I love! *9 different ways to shoot a picture: 1) black/white with border 2) vintage with border and 3) color with border(which also looks sort of vintage) 4) black/white no border 5) vintage no border 6) color no border 7) photobooth black/white 8) photobooth vintage 9) photobooth color *sleek, fun design *fun wallet-sized photos *easy as charge, load paper or sd card, and shoot picture *picture prints in seconds Here's what could improve! *no instructions besides a basic two photo turn on/off and one showing paper going in the back...no words, and doesn't tell you which way to load paper so you have to try a couple of times( to save you trouble load with piece of paper shiny side up towards you) *again with the instructions it didn't tell you how to use any of the features, all trial and error.. For instance, for photobooth mode you just need to hold down the shutter for a few seconds(which we found out on accident) all of the other ones are easy to figure out, it would just be nice to have instructions in case your getting it for someone older. *photo paper is hard to get(and the camera doesn't come with any) I could only get it through Amazon 3 days after I got the camera (it's my first day so I haven't got it yet) I went on bestbuy.com and got it there but it was out of stock for a day too!!! I finally got some the day the camera got here(two day shipping) *picture quality(but it was what I expected) I actually love the vintage style, but I know a lot of people would prefer the crystal clear digital prints you can get nowadays Overall love it!!!! This was my Christmas present to myself and I am so happy with the investment!!!

Turning back time while remaining in the present.
REASON FOR PURCHASE: I am an artist. Lately, on my bike rides, I have been shooting photos with disposable cameras and getting them developed, using the images for my work. Disposable cameras aren't cheap, and getting them developed isn't exactly cheap either. It came out to about $25 per camera, including price and developing, and you might not know if your images turned out well. So I did some research into a more affordable, and permanent, substitute. I have a phone camera, and a decent point and shoot, DSLR camera, but both of these are difficult to operate while riding on the bike. Here, you see the edge with a disposable camera. Simply point and shoot, and it's small and hides well in my backpack's side pocket, or my riding jersey pocket. I found this, and was debating between it and the Fujifilm equivalent. PROS: - Affordable. $100 does seem steep, when you look at the size, and the specs, but it is cheaper than the Fujifilm Instax Mini 90. - Small: This stores well on a ride, plus it could fit in my pocket when off the bike - Simple: It has few buttons, and each are easy to understand. Loading the paper is simple, too. - SD Slot: This was the feature that really sold it for me. Like I said, I use the images I take in my work, so when I got my disposable cameras developed I would also get a CD so I had the images digitally as well. With the SD card, I can shoot and have a duplicate saved digitally. - You can also photograph in three different ways. (1) You can have both paper loaded and an SD card as well, which will give you two different ways of saving. (2) You can only have an SD card in, and no paper, and have the digital image. (3) And you can also load just the paper, without an SD card, and you'll just get prints. - The lens cap is magnetic, which is a good feature, and there is a hook for a wrist strap, not unlike one for older mobile phones. - Prints are cheap! But be sure to buy the higher quality, ZINC brand. CONS: - The biggest con for me is the viewfinder. It flips up a bit too easily, and could flip up when in your pocket. Whenever the viewfinder is up, the camera is on, but the camera does have an auto-off feature. I just feel as though, if I'm unaware it's open in my pocket, I could break the viewfinder since it doesn't feel as sturdy as it could be. It's also a bit vague as to what will actually be in your frame. Lots of times I shoot, and think it's framed well, but the resulting image includes much more than I wanted, particularly towards the top/bottom. - The firmware needs an upgrade before use. There should be instructions when you get it. - The print quality is not the best. They have a blue-ish hue to them, and if you're shooting in a bright-light scenario, you're very likely to see a blown-out image. This is possible for better cameras as well, but this also brings me to the next point... - ...The quality of the camera itself could be better. 10MP isn't terrible, but there are many phones with better quality. ***If this is a big thing for you, give it a few months, because they will be unveiling a new model with a 13MP camera*** - It is a bit slick in my hand. I just ordered the silicone sleeve, because I feel as though this might slip from my hand at any moment. There is no ergonomic shape on it to fit to my hand, since the camera has this smooth, simple shape. OVERALL: I like this a lot. This really helps me on my rides, and shooting source imagery in general, and will save me money in the long run. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an instant camera, and wants something simple and easy to use. (If you want something a bit more legit, the Fujifilm Instax 90 is probably the way to go) Photophiles will not like the Snap, due to the lack of quality and it's simplicity, but for me, it works well.

Great Camera for Capturing Life on the Go
I love this little camera! So...first things first - before you buy this camera, be sure of what your intent is. If you are looking for high grade, professional looking pictures, this most likely isn't the camera for you. I wanted a polaroid because i like to capture my life in still frames, and have immediate gratification of placing my photos in a journal. The pictures come out the way I would have expected my old Polaroid pictures to come out. The features are fun - you can choose black and white or sepia. There is a photobooth feature i have yet to try, so i don't have any comments aside from it sounding fun. Essentially, that is what this is for - fun and convenience. I had been nervous based on some of the reviews, but what i received was a product that performs exactly as i had wanted. Again, if you are looking for high quality prints this isn't the camera for you, but if you want decent, immediate photos that can be used, this is a great option.

Awesome novelty! (not for serious photography)
Very cool gift for my girlfriend. She's not into photography as much as me but she has loved using the Snap so far. We love how you can instantly make create a little keepsake. We're planning to use it a lot on vacation this summer. We also like how the business card size photos have a durable glossy finish and nifty adhesive backing so they can be used as stickers. The image quality is adequate but not wonderful, there tends to be noticeable white or black blowout areas, but the fun is really in having a tangible reminder of that moment. One other thing that we don't like so much is that the flash is always on auto mode (can't change it) so it can be annoying if you're in a bar and all the sudden your annoying everyone with a huge flash, but we're planning on using a small piece of masking tape to prevent unwanted flashes.

this camera was so beautiful! I loved the idea of an instant printing ...
this camera was so beautiful! I loved the idea of an instant printing camera , rechargeable and size was great . that's why I bought it. But quality of picture is horrible!! still dont know how to make it work without timer, one time it printed a collage in one picture don't even know how. I had to returne it, the pictures were the worse, and if you were taking pictures at night you could barely see the image . not like other cameras that are cheaper and even at night the pics are better .

Fun product, but the cons outweigh the pros.
I purchased this product for the fun value. I wanted a tangible photo that I can post up on walls, bring to parties, hand out as gifts. It's a great novelty item since everyone is so caught up in digital images, people love the idea that there's a camera around that takes actual photos. Pros: - Tangible photos that print pretty quickly: After you take the photo, you can turn off the camera and the photo will continue to print. - Solid build: good weight and good feel to it. Doesn't feel cheap or poorly made. It's made by polaroid, afterall. - Digital backup: You can insert a micro sd card into the camera that will save all photos onto it. - Color options: There are three color options: color, vintage, and black and white. But the vintage and color options come out looking similarly many times (see below). Cons: - Turns on too easily: You press to open the viewfinder to turn it on. However, it's really easy to press the viewfinder. If it's in your bag or a big pocket, it'll frequently accidentally turn on. - Battery: Not the greatest battery life. It'll last a few days and the battery is not removable. It requires a USB charge to recharge it and it won't take photos on low battery. - Wrist strap: The wrist strap is on the left bottom corner of the camera, while the photo button in on the right top. So the strap isn't long enough to allow you to take the photo with it strapped to your wrist. You want it strapped so you don't drop it when you're taking photos, but it's really possible with this setup. - PHOTO QUALITY: The photo quality is bad. Dark. Every photo is taken with flash. And even with flash (which you can't turn off), the photos come out dark as well as grainy. They're not vibrant and colors are dull. Maybe my eyes are just used to the digital world, but i was really disappointed with the quality of these photos. Not even close to as crisp as the original polaroids. - Photo paper: It seems the camera may only hold 10 photos at a time (that's the number inside a photo pack). So unless you have multiple packs on hand, you'll run out reaaaallllyyy fast. And if you mess a photo up or you don't like how it came out (which happens a lot), you'll be left with a camera with no film. Plus, 10 is a really small number of photos at a time. This item takes time to get used to. There's no satisfying noise or click when taking the photo, so you have to learn to wait a few seconds till after the flash (which you can't turn off) to know the photo has been taken. This isn't much of a problem for yourself, but if you ask someone to take a photo for you, it'll take 2 or 3 practice shots before they get it right. By then, you're down to have the number of photos you have left. It's a fun and cute product. Def. not for serious photos of any type. Fun alternative to digital photos, but the quality and shortcomings may not outweigh the fun factor. Overall, disappointed in the product.

I absolutely love it! Thank you
Got it today! It was exiting moment when I opened a box , took out a camera ,loaded a photo paper, inserted a memory card, took a picture and a magic happened just before my eyes! No dark room ,no developing tank with film, no photo magnifier, no trays with a chemical solution ,you got a photo in 1 min ,and a digital copy on memory card, what does this camera a photo studio-in-pocket! I absolutely love it!
