Don't leave on for extended periods of time to prevent bruising. Use it for a a few minutes, remove it, adjust if needed and then put it back on for again, short periods of time. The longer you leave it on the more distortedly plump your lips will become and on top of that, bruising might occur. As with anything, moderation, but still it can give a quick plump if you are going to out and need your lips to stand out!

When I used it the first time, i loved it. I has no lip balm on but i had just woken up so my lips were at their fullest. My lips looked great after. Only 20 seconds. But every time after that was a flop. If I got anything, it was only my bottom lip and it was lumpy and ugly. No matter what I did I couldnt get it to work for my top lip. And I dont have thin lips. They were bigger and stayed full thr whole day as a teen but they’ve thinned out now in my mid 20s. Theyre still larger than average but theyre not ginormous. So i have to chalk the first good experience up to my lips just looked good because it was the morning. Other wise it does nothing/makes my bottom lip fold down and very lumpy ***ALSO, why is the hole so big??!! Its way too big. My lips are on the bigger side and it was still too big. I feel like it would work better if the hole was smaller****

I am 50 and really getting tired of my lips disappearing more and more every year. I considered lip filler but honestly I can't afford it. I saw a tiktok on this little fish and decided to give it a try. I am stunned and thrilled by the immediate results! The picture I have included was after 4 minutes on with no lip gloss or anything (excuse the ratty pajama top lol). I have been using this almost every day for the past two weeks and I have noticed a few things. 1) The bruising happens after the first couple of times but then goes away. It gave my lips a purplish hue for a day or so but I haven't had it since. 2) Getting this to stay on is difficult. I have to redo the suction every 20-30 seconds or so. 3) Exfoliate and moisten the area around the mouth for optimal suction. If you have trouble, try turning the fish 90 degrees (where the "eyes" face up toward your forehead instead of towards the corners of your mouth). It may seem like it is too small to do that way but once you squeeze it to get the air out, your lips get sucked right in. 4) It does not last all day. For me personally, I get maximum fullness for about 45 minutes to an hour. Then my lips slowly start to go back to normal. These are just my my opinions and observations. But for 10 bucks, why not? 10/10 recommend!

The photos are: one before photo, one after the first time I tried it, and two after the second time I tried it. Notice how bruised my lips are after the second time I tried it. The first photo is from right after I took the suction off, and the second photo (of just my lips) was about 45 mins later. Both show black and blue bruising entirely around my lips, with hardly any difference almost an hour later. Unfortunately, since my lips are so thin naturally, it’s difficult to fit JUST my lips in the suction at first. I’m giving this product three stars because it definitely works, but it can work a little too well if you’re not very careful and don’t follow the instructions precisely.

I’m an older gal so needed to plump my lips. This works and it’s not hard to use! The effect lasts a few hours. I use it with a matte lipstick for a big lips effect OR LA Girls lip plumper or any other lip plumper and it’s great!

This will be a LONG review: I have long considered a lip plumping device. As you can see in my pictures my lips are very thin, and it has been a major insecurity of mine (before plump lips were all the rage). I also have a significant overbite which adds to my sunken mouth appearance. So, for about 1 year I've had this (and other plumpers) in my cart. I decided to finally just try one. I am BEYOND thrilled! I wish I had ordered this sooner! I have attached bare face pictures. I am just a boring, 38 year old, overweight mom. I state this because I assure you I rarely pamper myself, but my small lips have always added to my self esteem issues. I'm not trying to add complicated products or routines for my life either. In my pictures I did not add anything. My lips changed color from the suction, but it look liked I had put on makeup by just plumping my lips! You can almost see the change in my whole face (well I can). Maybe just a small self esteem boost makes the whole face look different? I mention my age as well, because looking nice isn't just for the young singles out there. Us older ladies want some luvin' too. Things to consider: I know this is temporary, in fact about 40 minutes later I see the effects reducing to half the original plump. BUT, I've done research and I am hopeful. I have read many reviews and seen videos where daily users achieve a "semi-permanent" results. Meaning only once daily maintenance is required for all day results. This product: It was awkward to try as my lips are very, very tiny and kept slipping out. I exfoliated and used lotion beforehand, per the directions. The mouth piece is flexible, but too big for my mouth right now. I love that instead of sucking the air out, as other brands seem to require, I squeezed the dish together before putting it to my lips. Then I let go after putting it to my lips. This was honestly too strong for me so I half squeezed the fish. I really like the control you have on the suction, and quickly with the fish design. I chose to do light suctioning and shorter times because I felt too strong of a pull. I did not bruise but came close. I am positive had I doubled the time, it would have. So there is nothing wrong with starting lightly. As I stted before, I'm not trying to add complicated routines. If this was difficult or time consuming, I would not have even written a review. I am pleased with my initial testing. * I plan to attempt this 3 times a day and gradually increasing the amount of time. I will update the review 3 months from now to see if overall "semi" permanent results are being acheived. Good luck everyone!

My lips aren't thin but just needed a little pump up the older I get. I'll admit I did try fillers once but as well as it being so expensive I had to hide away for days as I looked like one of the crazy Housewives 😂. Then they looked great and then poof it was gone. The reviews on this are all over the place but for the price I took a chance. Well for me it sure does the trick! Takes a little time to get it right and I did it for too long but wow. BIG JUICY lips with no bruising. Slept for 6 hours and now they're perfect. What did I do to make them last so long? I honestly don't know, but will do it again in the p.m. when they deflate. Just lipstick, no overlining - It's easy to get the plump lower lip - it's the top that's harder.

This is so bad. It bruised my lips and I used it properly. Waste of money

It works. Takes a little practice to use, but it actually works. HEED THE WORNINGS! The instructions tell you how long to keep it on. I thought it would be really terrific to keep it on longer. DON'T!!!!! USE AS DIRECTED!!! Otherwise, your lips could swell up like a kissing fish! When used as directed, it has a really nice natural effect.

It works but go easy. Not too strong. The results don't last long but when you get it right and even, is good for photo shoot or an afternoon out.
