Great case but buy yourself some Goo Gone to go with it
I use this as part of my English Paper Piecing kit and comfortably holds a pair of small scissors, my needles, and magnetic pins. I think the magnetic bottom could have been slightly better quality because it looks like a piece of strip magnet that was glued on, the edges are slightly curled up. However, the case serves my purposes well and I like that it is very portable. But the label. Why?? Whoever created this label needs to be given a job with national security putting labels on submarines or something because the industrial strength stickiness of this label was just unreal and so unnecessary.

Perfect for Make Up
Like so many others that have purchased this product, I chose it for makeup rather than sewing. It was a great inexpensive option to a Z Palette. I currently have mine full of Hot Pots from Coastal Scents. I have 18 different eye shadow shades in this little box. It is so slim, but useful. You can see if the picture of the product that there is a white mat that is on the bottom. This is what is magnetic. It works well, even when I throw it into a travel bag the pans don't move around much. Combining powdered make up and a white bottom means that make up dust is visible pretty easily. This isn't something that bothers me, but it may bother others. For anyone ordering this in order to de-pot make up I would suggest that you make sure that your make up pans are actually magnetic before going to a lot of work and extra expense to do that. I tried to de-pot a larger Coastal Scents eye shadow palette only to find out that those pan were not magnetic. I had the same experience with ELF Bronzer and shadows as well as my Cover Girl blush. Overall, I really like this product and would purchase it again if I need another box for make up.

Canโt live without this!
I actually have several of these because they are just the right size and fit neatly into project bags. I do wish they came in various colors. Itโs not easy to find a magnetic box of this high quality.

Poor quality
I had to write a product review because this is such a poor quality item. I bought it for carrying the basics for airplane travel. First, there are huge stickers covering the outside that were impossible to remove. They left a huge ugly sticky film over the outside of both sides of the plastic container and nothing removes it. Inside, is a magnet that was only glued in the middle so it is curled up inside the box. The magnet is very weak. It was not strong enough to hold my small scissors or straight pins. It held the sewing needles, but not very strongly. Finally, it doesnโt close tightly. I dropped it in my seat on the plane and the needles, scissors, pins, and needle threader went everywhere. Very disappointing!

A Great Little Box To Keep Needles and Pins Safe From My Cats!
First let me say that my 3 stars are due to a product sticker that was not really removableโฆthis little storage box is a GEM and is worth every bit of 5 stars! It appears that ArtBin is no longer making this product and it makes me sad. Some years ago one of my cats swallowed a threaded needle - which was, thankfully, easy to remove and she did not suffer or need surgery. The experience, however, left me feeling awful, guilty and frightened for the safety of my cats going forward. A kind, generous, friend, knowing how distraught I was, sent me my first of these boxes and it safely stored my pins and needles for years - keeping me calm and my cats much safer. I needed another and bought this listing. I was happy to have found it! When it arrived I went to remove the l a r g e sticker and it would not budge. I used my standard for stuck on labels- lemon oil- and, while it made it possible to lift the sticker off, the old glue became slimy and dried to a mostly opaque haze. I wrote to ArtBin about it and they said that old stock might have caused this issue with the glueโฆbut that it was no longer being made. I mention this as a cautionary tale. It was not the shipperโs fault! I would/will but more if I find them. I hope that ArtBin will reconsider and make this safer product once again.

and I enjoy sewing, beading
I'm a very crafty person, and I enjoy sewing, beading, knitting, and crochet. I seem to have a lot of needles (quite a few inherited from my mother's and grandmother's sewing kits), and some of the beading needles are 6 inches long. I'm a disorganized mess in many ways, and this case helps me to have all my needles in one place, so instead of spending an hour looking all over the house for that one certain type of needle, it is right at my fingertips. This case keeps all my needles in one place, and it is large enough to hold even those very long beading needles. The magnet seems to be strong enough to hold the needles in place, so I don't have to worry about spilling them all over the place when I open the box, but I have not found it difficult to pick up the needles off of the magnet. This was exactly what I was hoping it would be. The case itself is quite sturdy, and I think it will be with me for a very long time. I find it hard to believe I'm the only person who wanted a case that would hold all different sizes of needles. This should be in every store that sells sewing notions, fabric, yarn, embroidery kits and supplies, beading supplies, and it should be with the needles. I did see it in a fabric store after I ordered it through Amazon, but it was with other general storage containers, NOT with the sewing notions. Thank you ArtBin for helping me to be more organized and for simplifying something in my life.

Buy this, and buy magnetic stickers, your pans are probably not magnetic
So here I was, minding my own business, when my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette's plastic top cracked. I do not like depotting makeup. I don't like depotted palettes. I don't like how it looks. I don't like it. But I wasn't about to throw away a ton of makeup because a container broke, so I did what I had to do, and depotted the pans of eyeshadow from the palette. The pans weren't very magnetic, if they were magnetic at all, and that's where these stickers came in. The ArtBin notions case being used as a palette was something I think I read about on Reddit. This palette is sturdy, has a transparent top, and is cheaper than most other palettes online. If I was cooler, I'd buy the transparent-topped ArtBin, put some fun pics on the lid, and make custom palettes that had to do with some theme, but alas, I am just a cheapskate salvaging busted palettes. Note the magnetic white base is white, and stains easily from makeup. I think that's just the nature of the beast. If you want an attractive looking palette with no stains, I think you're on the wrong part of the Internet, hunty. There are a variety of reviews on magnetic palettes that claim the palettes are not magnetic. If you think this happened to you, I implore you -- buy some magnetic stickers! This palette is magnetic, but, not all makeup pans are magnetic! Even if they are, they can often use a little help. I see this complaint on nearly every magnetic palette out there. The issue is often not the palette, but the pans NOT being magnetic! This is not an ArtBin specific issue! Get cheap magnetic stickers. Apply them to the bottom of your pans. They're thin (not like fridge magnets) and make it so much easier to store makeup pans on palettes. They won't slide around. You can easily rearrange the pans. It's great. Get them. I used these stickers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BDKSCFW/ I got the pink ArtBin to make sure it stood out from my other junk on my desk, and it's a really great bubblegum pink color, very 90s! 4 stars because I do not think it is travel friendly, and I wouldn't be surprised if the hard plastic cracks/isn't as sturdy as a cardboard palette can be, in terms of falls.

Great Craft carrying case
I absolutely Love this case! I purchased this case to put my embroidery supplies in! I am forerver loosing my needles! This has a magnetic bottom so that the metal needles stick to it until you take them out! The slim design makes it very easy to carry with me when I am bringing my projects out! The box fits my small scissors, my needle packets. and most used embroidery floss bunches. I love the color too, it is a neon pink, which I love! I would highly recommend buying this case! The price was low for quality and functunality! Its grat for sewing projects! The slim design is great for carrying, but also will fit in any drawer!

Get for pins and quilting clips
Great for my sewing items. Unfortunately not all my scissors are magnetic but thatโs ok. All I need are some metal bobbins!

Had to return....in very poor condition.
Unfortunately, had to return, came all scratched up (amazon is not packaging things very well these days) and the magnet was warped and would not stay flat. It also would not stay closed. Usually Artbin stuff is pretty ok but not this one.
