To make metal 3d puzzles you need a set of tools like this one. This is nicely made set, study and easy to use. Offered at a very good price.

First of all this is a cheap set and with tools the cheaper the price the more they lack in accuracy and quality but these cutters seems to defy this logic. The cutters I received are sharp with accurate tips that cut flush and makes cutting out 3D parts a breeze. Now the needle nose pliers included are the complete opposite. You would think (at least I would) that since this is being sold to assemble 3D models that these would be specially sized with a fine nose on then to be able to reach in and twist and bend tabs. No these are instead just everday regular sized needle nose pliers and there is nothing mini about them except the spring, thinking about grinding down the outside of the jaws to reduce the size so maybe they can be used somewhere. So look at this set for the cutter but not the pliers.

Love both of these pliers! I bought them only for the nippers, but they are both useful for small projects. I even bought my dad a set. The blue handled nippers have stayed very sharp after many uses, and the red handled pliers are durable and close perfectly. This is a good buy for the price :)

A+++++ what a game changer for doing the steel model kits. it makes cutting out the small to larger pieces so much easier than doing it by hand the cutters are very sharp and can get into the smaller parts of the metal sheets ..if you do as many of these kits like I do I recommend getting yourself a set .

Very nice and sharp clipper. Has a good point to get at the hard-to-get areas. Definitely well worth the purchase! Update: Its been nearly a year and a several hundred models look later these clippers have excelled. This is a must-have for anyone.

These tools are good enough for me, but honestly, get a more expensive one. These were not the best as far as quality control. The pliers are slightly off center which was difficult to deal with when working with the metal earth figures. The cutting tool was crudely sharpened: It does the job well enough, but it was sharpened unevenly. All in all, if you want a quality tool set, look elsewhere. If you are looking for just "a kit to make building these things easier" than go for it. Just don't expect much from it.
