Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Book 2: Hammer of Thor, The: The Case of Ritsu Onodera

MAgnus chase and the hammer of thr is the secnd book of the magnus chase series and is Awesome. I loved the first ne as well . My main main problem with the first one was that it didn't really flesh out magnus as a character. SO in this book , the hammer of thor is missing and magnus has to find it along with hearth blitz sam and all valhalla warriors . There is also a goat killer in there somewhere . Loki was really good in this book . There are many new characters who i loved . The book is fast paced and very interesting . You have a pretty good idea about the next book by the end of this, Uncle rick is great with characters and it showed in this book. For people wanting an appearance from annabeth are not really going to get it so dont expect it , shes there in it but barely . All in all it was a very very good book . I'd give a 4.5 out of 5 . The characters were great , the villains were great, it was interesting throughout and was fast paced. I think it was better than the first book .Guys read it , it was great...

I ordered the Kindle version so my Review is basically about the book and not the service quality. This is the second book in the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series and it was a fairly good read! We get to see new realms as usual and this time we travel to Asgard, Midgard (duh), Jotunheim and Alfheim all to retrieve Thor's Mighty hammer, Mjolnir. We get to see some character develoment of older characters like Hearthstone and Samirah as well as introduction to newer characters like Alex Fierro (who is a great character in my opinion). The plot is entertaining in the beginning, slows a bit in the middle but the near the end you just can't stop reading! In my opinion it tops the last book and is a little more ambitious. Rick Riordan never disappoints and now I look forward to the next book!

Amazing book! Once you start reading it you can't put it down for half an hour or so (not sure). I loved how Riordan wrote this book! Hey! This review is from a almost 12year old... Warning: If you read this book you will be mad waiting for the third book Magnus Chase and The Ship Of The Dead...(From my POV)...I want to give you a spoiler...I am tempted...but no...leave it...umm, ok...Magnus is going to meet______ in the third book. Ha ha. Plus extra story inside-Percy Jackson and the Singer Of Apollo...A must read and buy...And the book looks very attractive also....must read.

I have been a fan of the Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series and when the Magnus Chase's first book (Sword of Summer) came out I bought it ASAP and read it as fast as my brain could perceive it and it was fabulous, the same happened with this book.... The story line is grippy and i couldn't get up until I finished it. It starts off when a masked assassin kills the Thor's goat Otis who had been giving Magnus the information about the lost hammer of Thor. And when Magnus gets inside the Valhalla after talking with Samirah he meets Sam's brother/sister ( I don't want to include spoilers so I'm not explaining :) ) who accompanies Magnus in search of the lost hammer which includes the meeting of lots of crazy people ( yep, I am sure you'd agree if you have read the book) ... Verdict - It's a great book, just go buy it!

classic book of rick riordan he just gets better and better. first i started off with percy jackson and thought lets finish his greek mythology first. the some of my frieds told read magus chase. i read the first book ad it was awesome.the itook the hammer of thor.even better .very classic and the jokes are too good. i have read both of them around twenty times and i never get bored.cat waut for the third one.

magnus is back on chase .with thors hammer missing and sams wedding with a giant .whooo I am a11year old who loves mythology . Rick Riodan makes awesome stories this book is totaly cool. man ,must say best book read( till now ) waiting for more of Ricks

Rick Riordan is one (in my opinion) of the greatest writers we could afford. He has evolved in a great an inclusive autor. The Magnus Chase Saga is an example of it, I was just not so thrilled at first for this new line of books. But I gave it a try and oh boy, it's magnificent. Riordan manages to find the exquisite balance between mythology, actually learning, and amazing plot line and beautifully written characters. Which have an eternal list of assets and liabilities that makes them real, who live in a real world that just happens to have Nordic mythology in it. Magnus Chase and the newly introduced character Alex Fierro have such great evolution throughout the book and so much charm and individuality that just make the story even greater, I so hope for more and more of this amazing saga.

Ótimo livro, escrita maravilhosa. A cada livro da série me da mais vontade de ler o próximo. Magnus e seus amigos são tão incríveis que lidam com as desventuras da jornada de formas inteligentes, algumas partes das vezes. O livro aborda de temas comuns/complexos na sociedade de uma forma bem tranquila e fácil de entender. Você que está pensando em ler algo novo, esta é uma ótima opção (boa opção para quem pretende treinar a leitura da língua inglesa, já que o tema é interessante e nunca fica chato).

Having read all of the different series Rick Riordan has written I was expecting a lot coming from this book and that was exactly what I got! The Magnus Chase series is based on a teenage boy living in the modern world, however what most people don't realise is that all of the ancient gods are still alive! What I love about this book is that the author really gets what goes on inside a teenagers head; with all the sarcasm and humour, and puts that into the book. It also has relelevances to other characters in other books Rick Riordan hs written; such as Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson series. However, what I love most about this book is that when you read it you get the chance to learn a lot about history as this series is based on Norse mythology so you get to learn about, well, Norse mythology however you never get bored as he mixes it well with humour. My parents often stare at me strangely when I laugh at random times when reading the book! This book deserves 5 stars as I simply could not put it down!

The second book of the Magnus Chase series did not disappoint. It's another page turner with the perfect balance of irony and suspense, and with an amazing ending. I can't wait for book three to be published!

one of my favorite books from Rick Riordan!! Alex Fierro is a big part of this book and it’s great. Great representation, great story, great thing to spend your money on. Whoever said money can’t buy happiness has never bought a Rick Riordan book.
