The leather is thick and soft making this a great starter ball but not necessarily for competitive play. I mostly use it at home for some reps against my wall or to myself.

Love this volleyball, great material and feel to it, when pumped to the correct PSI it is amazing to play with and I recently found out that it is actually the registered game ball for high schools around the area. Highly recommend! (Only 4 stars because when used outside heavily it wears quite fast, I know it's meant for indoors but sometimes you just want to rally outside and it can be really taxing on the ball). Otherwise, great choice!
