Mineral Processing Design and Operations is expected to be of use to the design engineers engaged in the design and operation of mineral processing plants and including those process engineers who are engaged in flow-sheets development.Provides an orthodox statistical approach that helps in the understanding of the designing of unit processes. The subject of mineral processing has been treated on the basis of unit processes that are subsequently developed and integrated to form a complete strategy for mineral beneficiation. Unit processes of crushing, grinding, solidโliquid separation, flotation are therefore described in some detail so that a student at graduate level and operators at plants will find this book useful. Mineral Processing Design and Operations describes the strategy of mathematical modeling as a tool for more effective controlling of operations, looking at both steady state and dynamic state models. * Containing 18 chapters that have several worked out examples to clarify process operations* Filling a gap in the market by providing up-to-date research on mineral processing* Describes alternative approaches to design calculation, using example calculations and problem exercises Review: A very needed complement to Wills - I carry this book as part of my portable library, whenever I change jobs. I use this book on occasions and always find it useful. I also noticed that other metallurgists and metallurgical engineers borrow this book most often. It is written in textbook style, clearly, with solved examples and some to be solved. Excellent mineral processing reference when it comes to experiments, measurements and analysis. It contains what Wills is missing. Review: The books is general and don't especific - The book basic contens for engennier metallurgist in mineral processing design and operation. Don't woorry, be happy. Congratulations for bad book

Disapointed
I would expect more about mining process description and less calculation. I think book is quite boring and under my expectation

Great Introduction
Great introduction to mineral processing with detailed analysis of the different processes involved in comminution, flotation, and other processes. Recommend for all who want to learn about mineral processing.

Good content, poor packaging
The content of this book is excellent, giving design examples for most major pieces of equipment in a mining plant and operations. After a month of light use, the cover (both front and back) separated from the pages. For 260 bucks, pretty shoddy workmanship!

Four Stars
Good condition, print letter sizes look smaller than original version.
