I got this item a few days ago, and want to write an honest review of what my experience was. Firstly, the Pros: 1. The build quality of the unit is amazing. This item is made in China, but really doesn't feel like it is. Hercules is conceptualized in France, and the quality really comes through. 2. Perfect tool to use for Traktor (works fine with Traktor 2) - tried and tested. I have'nt tested it with Traktor 3 though. 3. The light combination and finish are really nice, especially in the dark. Cons: 1. I'm not sure if this was mentioned on the detail page, but my unit came without RCA cables. Luckily, I have a few spare ones at home, but a person expecting these in the box may need to shell out extra for them. 2. It took me about four hours to midi map this to Traktor 2. Djuced crashed quite a bit and was a bit frustrating to work with. But in the end, it was all worth it when I was able to download the official drivers from the hercules dj website for the inpulse 200 traktor 2 setup. 3. 2 EQ band only - No mids on this unit is something of a sacrifice for the price paid, but if you do want that included, I suggest you look at the Inpulse 300, which also includes custom FX features. The Verdict: Overall, despite a few drawbacks, this is a great entry-level controller! The buttons and knobs are solid and the built-in sound card means that you don't need to purchase one additionally, and only need a laptop and some speakers to use it!

This controller is tiny and fun to use but tbh it is not for those who are really serious about djing. PROS : • DJUCED (software) is beginner friendly • Decent build quality • Can scratch on jog wheels • Features like Hot Cue, Sync, Roll, etc. • Light indicators to help beat align, tempo match, etc. CONS : • Lacks Mid EQ (this is the major con as it is necessary for smoother transitions between songs) • No FX section (Forget about Reverb, delay, flanger, phasers,etc.) • Really small size (Sometimes I ended up hitting tempo sliders or other knobs due to the cluster...that could just be me as I'm not a DJ bruh) In a nutshell, if you want to just try out how it feels like to mix songs then its fine...but if you want to learn and see yourself djing and doing gigs in the future then better save your money and invest into something like DDJ SB3 or DDJ 400. I'm returning mine. Hope this review helped.

Ich wollte etwas in die Welt des Auflegens hineinschnuppern ohne viel Geld ausgeben zu müssen. Die Software läuft top, ist übersichtlich und enthält ein Einsteigertutorial, das größtenteils nur auf Englisch ist. Das war allerdings kein großes Problem, da die Guides leicht verständlich sprechen. Das Pult an sich hat meiner Meinung nach die perfekte Größe, weder zu groß noch zu klein und enthält alle wichtigen Funktionen. Die Haptik ist für diesen Preis such sehr zufriedenstellend. Lediglich ein Cinch-Kabel muss man sich zulegen, um das Pult mit den Boxen zu verbinden. Zusammengefasst kann ich sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ausgezeichnet ist. So viel DJ-Pult für dieses Geld habe ich noch nirgends gesehen. P.S. Bin sonst keiner der Rezension schreibt, aber dieses Produkt ist einfach empfehlenswert

Nice starter controller, having used vinyl decks in my youth this was an affordable way to start mixing. Would recommend it.

I am coming from vinyl turntables to this. It really is a lot easier to learn on vs vinyl. Vinyl takes a lot of skill to get good at it and I think that is a big barrier. I went from basic mixing on vinyl to being able to easily do more advanced mixes. It means that it is a lot easier for anyone to get into and be good at it. The impulse 200 has some great features like the beat guide for beat and tempo matching to allow you to build skills and eventually get to the point where you can drop on the platers and manual beat match by ear if you want. The whole point of the product is an entry level learning experience bundled with a free tutorial that really helps. I learned a lot of things from the course that have helped me improve. The djuced software is great at giving a full experience and the ability to record which is essential in becoming better. Serato lite doesn't give you that option and I know there are work arounds but I think to start with you can't go wrong trying djuced. People say you should go with Serato because it is industry standard but if you know how to DJ I can't really see a problem with having to learn to use Serato later, loops, effects, samples and other features won't change and will be similar in controlling. The quality is great for the price and the up faders feel really nice. The one thing that is annoying for manual tempo matching is the short pitch faders. I am use to really long throw ones on decks but these need two hands to pin point adjust which is not great. Update 2022: I moved software as I switched to mixxx on Linux but although it mapped the controller no issue it has a lot of bugs and crashes which could be down to hardware. Really struggling to mix quickly and tempo match on the go, again tempo sliders are really hard to use and you end up just syncing the two tracks together out of frustration.
