Ricard Pastis 45% 70cl

This is a unique drink, first experienced in France and greatly enjoyed. Difficult to find in England but thanks to Amazon now available.

This is my favourite pastis and Im so happy that I can get this from Amazon rather than having to go to France. It mixes lively with some cold water to.give a lovely milky colour. Aniseed is not too strong, just lovely for a hot summer afternoon aperitif. It tastes so smooth. Definately recommend it if you like pastis. It isnt too cheap, but really good quality stuff!

The items ordered were as fine and as expected, so at least the Marketplace supplier fulfilled their part satisfactorily. The delivery method chosen however, via Royal Mail, was appallingly bad. The delivery was already delayed for a period of three days and promised for May 7th. On May 7th, with no advance warning, nothing was delivered but an e-mail was received stating that delivery had been postponed arbitrarily until "sometime before May 12th"! As someone over the age of 18 was demanded to be present in the house to accept the delivery whenever Royal Mail deigned to provide it this caused very considerable difficulty and restriction in the activities of the household. Delivery eventually took place on May 11th, but on May 12th a bizarre further e-mail was received stating that "delivery had been attempted" on May 11th but had been unsuccessful - [despite the fact that there had been people here continuously throughout May 11th!] This further e-mail stank of a belated attempt by Royal Mail to disguise the fact that they hadn't delivered as originally promised by setting up an explanation that there were 'difficulties in making the delivery'. The entire experience has diminished my view of Amazon Marketplace, and will inevitably also do so of this Marketplace provider unless and until they adopt a more reliable and trustworthy delivery agent!

A delicious aperitif mixed with sparking or still water , with crushed ice . Treat with respect as the ABV is quite high, and the tendency is get the taste , and over consume - so be careful

It seems that Pernod is the most popular pastis in the UK - or maybe we haven't opened our eyes to Ricard? For me Ricard is the better of the two but strangely it is more difficult to obtain here. Thankfully it can be ordered from Amazon, perfect for a warm afternoon - or just remembering a warm afternoon in France?

世界で一番まずいお酒、なんて言われることもあるらしいです。 曰くクセが強いのだとか。 たしかに日本ではあまりアニスは使われないので、独特の香りは初めての人にとっては臭みでしか無いのかもしれません。 しかしこのアニスの香りに慣れると、爽やかな香りと仄かな甘味のリカールウォーター（？）は夏にはピッタリの飲料になります。 尚、アニスは八角とよく似た香りなので、八角が行ける人はアニスも行けると思います。

Muy buena compra por 10 euros, para recordar un viaje a Marsella. Bueno con 1 parte de licor y 4 de agua, más o menos. Para mi gusto mejor todavía con un poco de limón sin burbujas (sustituyendo una de las partes de agua).
