Surprisingly Great DVD
Donโt let the picture on the cover or the cover description fool you! This is a great workout dvd. Definitely not just for the older ones. Iโm 50 something and have been exercising everyday for over 20 years. Iโd consider myself to be intermediate. I love that this is more of a strength training workout using 3-5 pound weights. There is hardly any jumping around (except for jacks) or floor exercises (so no up and down). With each segment being only 8 minutes I can do 3-4 at a time for a variety and get a great 30 minute workout. I wish there were more segments focused strictly on abs and core but they are incorporated into each segment. I am so glad I purchased this and my only regret is waiting so long.

Exercise for seniors
Great exercise for beginners. Not too difficult and a great way to work on form before moving to one that is more vigorous. Love that their are two weeks of exercises that target different muscle groups

Like the short segments
This is a good DVD when you want to break up your workout throughout the day. I feel some of the exercises are a little high intensity for older people and one big drawback is the workouts are not labeled on the DVD menu. I went through the DVD and labeled each workout on a piece of paper and that is helpful. This should have been on the DVD menu. The instruction is upbeat and that's helpful.

Love/Hate Relationship
I have a love/hate relationship with this video. I love that the movements are all fairly easy and low impact for the most part(there is some jumping but he gives alternate moves if you canโt jump). I love that each section is only 8 minutes-and surprisingly I was huffing after 8 minutes even though I walk 2-4 miles per day. I love that you can click back to the main menu to pick which eight minutes session do you want to do...They are divided into weeks 1,2,3,and 4-then you can click on which day in which week you want. Each day works on a specific area of the body, so I spent some time when I first got the dvd and clicked through each session and wrote down what each session worked on(since I need to work mostly on my abs, I know which sessions are abs) I love that you can choose to do one session or as many as you like-so many videos are 45 minutes to as hour long-too easy to say โI donโt have time for that!โ But everyone can carve out 8 minutes!! Now the cons: The video is supposed to have meal plans and other info included but when you go to the website listed, nothing is there anymore-rather frustrating.(says something about page missing)Another con-if you donโt have basic concepts of the correct form for certain moves, this is not the video for you! He gives NO guidance before an exercise as to proper form and just jumps right into the move. He also goes really fast(too fast in my opinion) The models he uses are kind of distracting too because there are many times they are using horrible form and look like they are just kind of winging it. One person keeps getting out of sync too. Kind of distracting. I understand they are seniors and are not going to look like 20-year-olds but they still should be using proper form to prevent injuries. Itโs also annoying when every other word out of the instructors mouth is โthere you go! perfectโ when itโs not even close to perfect...I found I enjoy the workouts more with the sound off because heโs so annoying to me, but that might just be me. But all in all, I will keep the dvd because thereโs 20 different sessions that will get your heart pumping so you shouldnโt get bored and I havenโt found another senior DVD that fits my needs as well as this one.

Time to exercise
This is great because I can do it in my home no matter what the weather is doing. It's easy and I feel great doing it. Every senior who doesn't have any major disabilities should do these exercises even if you don't need to loose weight. You will be so much more limber and feel great.

Want to get fitter and have fun? Look no further
Really impressed with this DVD and I wish Nestor would do more and cover all the other Latin dances as well. This is dance for individuals. It is NOT couple dancing. The dances and there are 5 different ones are all broken into 2 separate sections. The tutorial steps to learn which are done at a reasonable speed and are each 5 minutes and then the full on dance steps for the workout which each last 20 minutes. This gives you 5 different dance options to choose from. There is also both an excellent warm up and a cool down provided for each dance separately as well. Nestor teaches all of these warm ups and cool downs and also 2 of the dances, Salsa and Meringue. His partner Amanda does the other 3 dances Cha Cha, Samba and Pasodoble sadly. I would have much preferred it all to been led by him. He knows about dance and she clearly doesnt as she keeps telling people not to dance with feet grounded! Anyone who has any kind of Latin dance experience including Nestor will tell you and quite rightly just the opposite. Nestor is both Cuban and a trained former professional ballet dancer. It shows. He does all of this programme without a bead of sweat, and he keeps you going at it too. He is graceful and fluid and a joy to watch and the one to follow when learning all of this. He is also the one to listen and take heed of irrespective of anything Amanda may say. There are other class people in the background who are in fairness all different shapes and sizes and ages too but Nestor is the swan and you'll learn from him. Amanda just shows off. For Salsa it is a fairly fast paced routine and in all dances perhaps with the exception of the strange Samba which is included on here, a really fun dance dvd. I love Cha Cha and Salsa and Meringue most of all. You will enjoy it though because you will know you have done it, even though it doesnt feel like an endurance workout. Nestor will also get you fit without the real slog. It's a DVD that is actually something I happily do and look forward to doing. I believe anyone else who buys it will feel the same way and get as much from it too. This DVD should be sold as more accessible in the UK. It's a US import and I have a multi region player but it should be all region. I shall do all I can to promote this excellent DVD and this is my 3rd copy purchased, these two being to give to friends who have seen mine and asked more about it. It's only just become available on Amazon again so get it quick. This is the best easy to learn dance DVD I have found anywhere. Really I cannot recommend it more. BTW I have no connection to anyone involved in this and paid full price for all my copies. I am a female who is moderately fit and active. I'm also 57 years young.

Good
I have an enormous collection of fitness DVDs and comparatively, this is good for more mature people. But, not for beginners, because there is really very little with regards to proper form for a true beginner. Also, 8 minutes a day won't do much, but it's a start. You could repeat each segment to make it a 16 min workout per day. It certainly won't bring you back in shape in 14 days.
