TT Field Pack (Khaki)

TLDRUF: massive, stable, strong and fantastic value. absolutely huge, even before you count the 3 additional pockets that are included, but compresses down brilliantly when not fully loaded. The back is easily adjustable to anyone between about 5 feet and 6'6". really stable even over rough/steep terrain. The molle tape is really handy for strapping on extra bits, even if they aren't specifically designed for the system. The main compartment opens at both ends, with a drawstring barrier which allows we items to be placed in the bottom of the bag without soaking the rest of you kit. Otherwise it means you can have rapid access to 90% of your stuff without unloading the whole pack, ideal for when the rain arrives 10 minutes earlier than planned. Only (theoretical) drawback would be that the fabric isn't really waterproof, so for prolonged treks an internal dry-bag (e.g. a 110L heavy duty bin bag) and a waterproof bergen cover would be a wise investment.

Nachdem ein Militek Rucksack mit ähnlichem Aufbau und gleichem Volumen nach 3 Tagen und 20kg Beladung schon an den Nähten aufgerissen war, hat der TT alle Anforderungen erfüllt. Der Hüftgurt übernimmt die Last und leitet sie zum größten Teil über die Hüfte ab.

Outstanding pack. Tough and roomy. Adjustable V plus system is outstanding. Molle system is great to add canteen pouches for the billy and cooker for quick brew on the hill.

Die Verarbeitung ist TT typisch sehr gut. Das Hauptfach bietet sehr viel Platz auch für sperrige Gegenstände. Die Seitentaschen lassen sich dank der Befestigung mittels Reißverschluss sehr schnell abnehmen. Ein enormer Vorteil im Vergleich zu den meisten Molle Taschen. Das Tragesystem macht ebenfalls einen guten Eindruck. Leider ist es für mich mit 1,90m selbst auf der obersten Einstellung noch deutlich zu klein. Der Hüftgurt wird hier dann zum Bauchgurt und die Lastverteilung auf die Hüfte zur Entlastung des Rückens ist nicht mehr gegeben. Bei einem Rucksack in dieser Gewichtsklasse leider ein KO Kriterium.
