Henny Penny

I loved this story growing up, but I did forget all the birds get eaten by the fox at the end of the book! So if your child is sensitive to death, I’d skip this book! It’s kind of like Aesop fable with a moral to learn; which is don’t be easily taken advantage of. Like you should not listen to everyone just because what they say sounds good, you need to know truth and be discerning of other people having sneaky/bad motives. Other than that the hardback is well make, love the illustrations, fun tongue twister like I remembered! Also I got it to read to my 2 year old who loves the silly names, but a 7-8 year old could enjoy reading this by themselves!

Classic children’s story. Kiddo loves and the whole family enjoy reading it to kiddo.

This is a classic book. Ending is a little sad but it's a part of learning.

One of my favorite stories at a great price and quality! Hardcover means it’ll be durable, lasting a long time in little hands.

Really enjoy and live this book. Originally bought a copy for my sons school curriculum but fell in love with this silly chicken little type tail it is a great book to open conversation about trusting tricky people and stranger danger. We have purchased extra coppies to gift instead of card we have been writing personal note in books that we gift with the present. I highly recomend this book.

I remember LOVING this book when I was a kid so I couldn't wait to get it and read it to my 2 year old. She honestly could not care less, it's probably a bit old for her anyway. But man, I never realized how annoying it is to read this book aloud. It's a classic, I still love it, but I'm exhausted half way through lol. Maybe best to buy for a child who can already read to themselves. Shoutout to my primary school librarian who read this to multiple classes a year, every year. You were not paid enough.

All my boys have read this. They used to read in school. We bought this for our youngest for his birthday. Seems appropriate in times of the never ending pitch for Climate change garbage. Beautifully illustrated Beautiful book my son can pass on to his children one day.

I remember my mother reading this to me as a child. I remember her reading it to my sister as well. Come join the adventures with Henny Penny, Loosey Goosey and the rest of the crew. I'm teaching my son to read and this is an amazing book to teach. My husband and I changed words near the end so the fox didn't eat them. I don't want to reach my 4 year old about this yet! Anyway, it is an easy read and will teach your little one rhyming words. I recommend this to preschooler through kindergarten ages. I'm a homeschooling momma and I approve!

Great length to the story. My toddler loves the graphics and story. Good quality paper.

The story is classic but the illustrations brought it to life. Great to read to my grandson who soon picked up the names!!

This is a classic tale and who better to tell it than Paul Galdone with his exceptional and humorously expressive artwork. Stunning, a real joy to look at.
