This cable is great. It's construction feels solid, nothing flimsy about these. It might be a little stiff, but that just adds to the solid feel of the cable. Straight through connection style let one of my older computers communicate with a Baystack switch with ease, all the way up to 96k baud. Definitely a good buy for only $4 if you're looking to connect older equipment with DB9 connectors.

AFTER GOING THROUGH ALOT OF MISERY WITH A HAM FRIEND WHO WAS TRYING TO GET HIS TS-590S LINKED TO HIS COMPUTER WITH LITTLE SUCCESS. WE DISCOVERED THAT THE RECOMENDED CABLE FROM TWO SUPPLIERS WAS THE WRONG ONE. THIS STARTECH CABLE IS WHAT YOU NEED IF YOU'RE TRYING TO INTERFACE YOUR KENWOOD TS-590 TO YOUR COMPUTER!! I FOLLOWED MY FRIENDS ADVICE AND ORDERED ONE FOR MY TS-590 AND AFTER THE CABLE ARRIVED,(WITHIN ONE WEEK), I HAD MY SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING THROUGH MY COMPUTER WITHIN 20 MINUTES.

DB9 RS232 straight through female to female cable - exactly what i needed to connect FT450D radio to my Win7 PC. I also had to first install a DB9 pci card in my desktop PC, because it did not have any serial ports. PC is talking to radio. Everything works.

I actually needed a different cable, but the build quality of this one is superb and have nothing bad to say about it, not their fault that I purchased the wrong thing. I ended up adding it to my backup stock after testing it working on another application.

I bought the null version previously and it was not what I needed. After some googling I found a website that linked to this cable. Once I got it and the right serial2usb adapter it worked perfect.

The first thing about ordering online, you sometimes get something different than what you thought you bought. In this case, however, I got exactly what i wanted. The cable is of high quality and the connections ring true. I also received it in a very timely manner, almost as fast as my account was charged :-)

This 6 foot serial cable has done it's job perfectly and was a good buy.

Cavo introvabile nei store locali e forse anche nazionali... Cavo per collegare direttamente (nel mio caso) una interfaccia modem (Yaesu scu-17 e FT-2000) ad una radio ad uso radioamatoriale, ma serve anche per altri scopi..utilissimo e da conservare nel tempo.

FT-450とパソコンを繋ぐために購入。ハムログの周波数がダイレクトに記録できるのは感動です。
