I really enjoy this Dummy battery because it is very easy to setup and it is very quiet, I don’t know why others say it is loud it doesn’t even have a sound. If you are looking for something to use for streaming to webcam I suggest this product because it will help in beginner and professional settings

After reading some of the reviews. For the canon M50 you have to put the battery in, close the battery latch and open the charger port rubber lid at the bottom and connect the power adapter through the port. A lot of the reviews had the charger base open. This was by far the worst product I have bought on Amazon. I bought it a few months and didn’t get a chance to use it. I finally decided to open it up and it doesn’t work at all! A complete waste of my money and I threw the box away so I couldn’t return it. I won’t be buying from this company again!

I have several batteries for my Canon m50 that I use out in the field. But if I am doing sit down videos or product reviews or vlogs at home with the camera stationary on a tripod, I don't want to have to keep on switching out batteries throughout a couple hour session of video takes, B-roll and pictures. So I decided to order the TKDY ACK-E12 AC Power Adapter with dummy battery and it works great! I haven't had any trouble with it at all and it keeps my Canon m50 running all day long. I just plug in the dummy battery and then plug the adapter into the dummy battery and then plug the adapter into an outlet....boom, camera has constant power all day long. Note: there is no on/off switch on the adapter so you will have to unplug it from the outlet or unplug the adapter from the camera if you don't want power running to camera 24/7 - I usually just unplug the adapter from wall after I finish a session and plan to come back later.....but it's not necessary. I've left it all plugged in over night and not had any issues. If you aren't going to be moving the camera around a lot while doing video or camera shots, this is a great little unit to purchase. Basically, it's like being about to plug your camera into a wall outlet when you really need to. And then just unplug it and remove the dummy battery, replace with a real battery and you are good for on the go work with the camera. Really good product. Works well but doesn't hold in the plug too tightly and it can easily fall out. Good if you have a non-moving spot, but the instant you start to move around the plug comes out.

I have been looking for a webcam because I hated the one on my laptop. I had an old Canon M50 just hanging around my office so I pulled it to see if I could use it as a webcam and it worked great! The only probably was the battery would only last me about 30 minutes and some of my meetings would go 1hr or longer. I found TKDY ACK-E12 Cameras Power Supply and thought "Would this actually work?". It does work! I love! If you are looking for a high-end webcam with great quality I suggest using a Canon M50 and purchasing the TKDY ACK-E12 Cameras Power Supply to make things happen.

Worked fine for about a week as I needed it to record some time-lapse footage and couldn't do so on regular battery power. But it completely ruined my Canon M50 camera after that. Once I went back to a regular battery, my camera freezes and the screen goes green. I can't record for longer than a few seconds. I'm lucky to get a 30 second recording before it freezes again. I've tried everything from different batteries to formatting the SD card to a new SD card to resetting the camera to factory settings and nothing works. I pay a lot of my bills through my camera and now I'm out of business until I buy a new one. I've never been screwed so hard by a $20 product.

Super cheap. You can tell by the plastic. I was wary using it but it did the job just fine and worked for my camera, Canon M50 for quite a few hours. Didn’t do an 8+ hr test but I don’t need to for my needs right now. If you’re on a budget, this will do the job. It’s still new for me so idk how long it will last.
