Big Rig Business Startup How to Start, Run & Grow a Successful Trucking Company The Roadmap from One Rig to a Multi-Million Dollar FleetโTold by Someone Whoโs Been There When I lost my corporate job in 2008, I was staring down the hardest chapter of my life. With a pregnant wife, mounting bills, and no fallback plan, I leapedโI went to trucking school and got my CDL. โFrom laid off to fleet bossโyour journey starts here.โ One week after graduation, I landed my first driving job. That first paycheck nearly matched what I made behind a corporate desk. Thatโs when I knew: the trucking industry was my new path to freedom. And I never looked back. Fast-forward a few years, and I wasnโt just a truck driver anymore. I was an owner-operator. Then a fleet owner. And eventually, I built and sold a multi-truck, high-profit business that rivaled my old CEOโs salary. Now, Iโm handing you the keys to create your own. โNo experience? No problem. Just follow the roadmap.โ Why This Book? Why Now? Because the opportunity in trucking is real and wide open. You donโt need a million dollars or a Harvard MBA. You need grit, a plan, and the proper roadmap. Thatโs what this book gives you: a practical, proven, step-by-step guide based entirely on real-world experience. I donโt just explain how trucking worksโI show you exactly what I did. What worked. What didnโt? And how to get from zero to profitable, no matter your starting point. Inside This Book, You'll Discover: Whether you want to drive, dispatch, or scale into full fleet ownership, this book breaks it all down into manageable, actionable steps. It matched the CEO's salary of the company that once laid me off. A few years later, a major trucking company made an offer I couldnโt refuse. I sold my business at a premium, but the knowledge stayed with me. While my non-compete keeps me off the road for now, it didnโt stop me from writing this book and helping others climb their way to the top. โThe only direction you need now is forward.โ Ready to Get in the Driverโs Seat of Your Success? I have been looking into the trucking business as we ...
I have been looking into the trucking business as we realized this is the backbone of the domestic freight business. More and more people are shopping online and that creates a demand for the shipping business. I strongly believe that the demand for the trucking business will grow even bigger in the near future. The author also acknowledges that growing demand, but what made me write this review is the clarity I noticed in this book. He spoke from experience and showed a clear path to starting a trucking business. I think it is a valuable tool for anyone looking to get into the trucking business.

Easy, Focused, and Very Informative!
Since my fiancรฉ always talks about creating his own business, I've made it a point to look through several instructional books on how to start independent companies on all kinds of topics. From the basic crafting soap and candle companies, to beekeeping and farming, I came across this one particular book. At first I was more curious than anything, since trucking is a more quiet type of job- one that does not make a big deal out of itself, or draws much attention. When I started reading it, I found it difficult to put it down until the very last page was flipped over (virtually flipped over, that is). It is so focused, so informative, and it makes the process very doable, to say the least. It's not something one expects, but it actually sounds like an easily-attainable goal if all the steps are done properly. The only few details I found occasionally distracting were the typos that slid through in the final draft. But once one overlooks them and the bits of repetition, it is all good to go.

Interesting Read!
I am not a trucker, but it is a lifestyle that has interested me since I was a young boy watching "Smokey and the Bandit" and "BJ and the Bear." Honestly, it is knowledge that I will likely never use, but I found the information interesting and the book easy to read. I'm sure that this information would be very useful for someone serious about the trucking industry.

Gives you the fundamentals of starting your business
Chapter 2 is a must if you donโt know what to get started in order. Each chapter had something I could take with me on starting my business.

Very Informative for what I needed
I am very grateful for this book as it has given me the information I needed regarding the trucking industry. I had little knowledge of the industry as a whole and it has gotten me up to speed on how it works to an extent. Would recommend for basic knowledge and maybe a bit more.

Nice beginner guide
This is a good book for someone who has no knowledge of the inner works of the trucking industry. I feel like it could have gotten a little more in-depth on certain parts, maybe in a 2nd addition.
