This pad is as advertised, very hard. I weight 260 so I figured it would soften with use that is why I bought it. It has not softened at all and I have used it since I received it. I plan to find a softer version to try.

The pillow is fine for keeping the pressure off of the tailbone, but I haven't noticed where it is helping with sciatica. Also, it doesn't seem to fit my oak chair and rather hangs over in the front. As far as keeping it's shape, I would give that a plus.

My boyfriend loves this seat cushion, he has always complained of hip pain after sitting for long periods and this has helped him so much. He is an avid computer gamer as well as a software developer by trade so he spends a lot of time in an office chair and this really has made a world of difference already. Material is also very durable as it has already withstood multiple attempts at sabotage by my 1 year old Australian shepherd.

Thought this would be too firm, but really fills the bill for long-distance driving... surprising !
