PowerBilt Golf TPS Bump & Run Chipper

I have found that it is a good club to use within 30 yards of the green when I struggle with controlling a traditional wedge shot.

I am just another hacker out there and like to run the ball every chance I get rather than a pitch shot..I have even used this chipper 20 yards of the green for a bump and run shot. I am still getting used to getting the proper distance but he ball goes much straighter than using my 7 iron. I compared this to the Ping R chipper my friend lent me and I like this cheap $36 , better.. Its head is putter like. Fun club

I bought this mostly to hit soft balls for my dog he's very good at catching them in mid air and this club picks them up high enough so he gets a good workout chasing them. He will bring them back and drop them on my mat my dog loves this club.

This little club is absolutely awesome! Cant beat the price, i played 18 holes 2 days after receiving it and chipped in 2 shots 15' off the green. Has a VERY nice check and release. A tip to use it is to put your feet all the way together and use a putting stroke. Like i said it checks extremely good so you can be aggressive with it especially if your a dew chaser and hit those early tee times. Couldnt be more happy with this little thing.

Had a wilson blade version, but as i use a mallet putter, i didn't like the format. the powerbilt semi mallet fits the form i was looking for, and the price is pretty good. if it doesn't work for the long term, i'll look next at mcgregor, which also looks good and has a bit more loft. the low loft (32) on this club however, helps to minimize damage if i catch the ball a bit thin, as it will roll out more than a solid strike but the ball will likely still be on the green. the shaft is a bit long for me, 36 i think, so i shortened it by 2 inches and put a new grip on it.

As noted it's a bit too light in the head so I overcompensate and hit it too hard and it goes too far or is way short because I under hit. Very difficult to get it just right. Wife has a competing brand that is heavier in the head and I've tried it with much more success. I'm an old guy and I bought this chipper among several offered in amazon simply because it was Power Bilt brand which is a division of Hillerich and Bradsby who also have Louisville Slugger Baseball bats that I adored as a young boy. Too light for my liking BUT is of excellent quality as are all of the H&B products I've ever owned.
