In my 30 year career in Telecom & IT work, I have used hundreds of surge strips and replaced a ton of bad ones, either because they failed, or because my reputation is at stake and I don't tolerate crap. I started to use this family of surge devices over 20 years back when they were all made and sold under the Panamax name. Same product, different distribution channels. I talked directly to the design guys and was duly impressed and have been using them ever since. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Best materials in a very reliable configuration with very high specifcations. They are so good that they will shunt hundreds of lesser faults or overvoltage/overcurrent events and not crap out, but if something really big comes along, they get the job done: a few years ago I had numerous surge strips, CO line protectors, and AC power protectors at an estate in the Napa Valley when a car crash took out a 150KV transmission line, causing massive surges for miles and torching $2M plus in electronics. At this home, the surge strips popped, partly melted, and the CO line units were trashed. But everything connected to them was just fine, while other electronics on the property blew up/melted/burned out instantly. After that we installed a lot more of this gear for the owner. I have no affiliation with this company, I just get 100% reliability with their products. Some PBX manufacturers specify the MKSU units in their installation manuals, which is really saying something. I still have perfectly good units in service after 20 years. Review: Five Stars - Great !
