Absolutely Outstanding SFP Adapter Works Very Well With UniFi Routers
So if you use a UniFi UCG fiber and are having speed issues this adapter has fixed that issue for me. I have 5gig symmetrical speeds and on my old SFP adapter and I had tried numerous ones including genuine UniFi adapters and none of them would get my advertised speeds especially on the upload. My download speeds were always spot on but my upload speeds would always be cut in half no matter what settings I changed it just would never get my advertised speed. I finally went with this mikrotik adapter and itโs been the only adapter that gets my full advertised speeds on my UCG fiber. The adapter is amazing and anyone who uses SFP adapters knows that sometimes they can get very hot but this one has kept the temps down a lot better than anyone of the other brands I have used. This is just a rock solid SFP adapter and fixed my speed issues immediately on my ucg fiber router. Excellent stability itโs hot swappable and itโs easy to use and just plug and play. Stability wise itโs rock solid and I get full speeds on both download and upload and uses very little power to use this. My ucg fiber recognized the adapter immediately and I was connected instantly. Just an outstanding SFP adapter and an great value for the money.

Works great with Unifi Dream Machine Pro
Works well with my Unifi Dream Machine Pro. Moved from 1Gbps to 2.5 Gbps fiber and needed a faster port. Would love to go straight to fiber but Internet provider insists on using their ONT with 10Gbps ethernet port. Runs hot, but have no issues. Rock solid for two weeks now.

Solves Unifi SFP+ Connection issues with Cable Modems
On have 2GbE service over Xfinity and this is the ONLY SFP+ RJ45 module to solve my lockup problems with my cable modem on my UDM Pro. The problem is that most SFP+ copper modules initiate auto-negotiation of speed during traffic spikes. That ends up causing the link to freeze with the cable modem. The Microtik manages to hold the 2.5GbE link and keeps it with the modem. Although this is a more expensive SFP+ module, it is the best value for the money considering the fact that it does not run insanely hot like most of these and it doesn't have synchronization issues. It's simple to use by just popping it in and you can forget it from then on. The S+RJ10 is a must on Unifi SFP+ WAN connections because of its functionality in maintaining a connection. This is important because after Unifi Network v10 there is no capability to lock the speed on an SFP+ port any longer.

Supports 2.5G on 10G-only SFP+
Excellent product that provides just what I was looking for. I have a Unifi switch with a 1G/10G-only SFP+ port (that is, the switch's SFP+ port does not support 2.5G or 5G natively) but a Unifi router that has a 1G/2.5G RJ45 port. I wanted to be able to connect the switch and router at 2.5G. Most 10G SFP modules will only support 2.5G if the SFP+ port itself supports 2.5G; I tried others in this configuration and they didn't work at all. However, this one works great for my purpose. (Presumably it also supports 5G, but I don't have equipment to test that on.)

One of the best multi-speed transceivers on the market
I purchased this transceiver due to the fact that it provides the best throughput and stability compared to other transceivers on the market. Other adapters seemed to either have issues with upstream speeds, or with flow control issues at speeds between 1Gbps and 10Gbps (2.5Gbps being the most common). I use these with Ubiquiti Dream Machines and Gateways, as well as with Mikrotik CHR on an x86 hypervisor. Now, there are newer transceivers out there which can handle longer cables, and which run cooler. This is still my tried and true transceiver until I find a better one. This Mikrotik transceiver can get hot, so ensure it is given adequite cooling, and avoid placing these next to each other in adjacent slots unless there is space in between to allow for cooling.

Work great though existing Cat5e wiring, overkill for short runs
On the pricey side, and they run ridiculously, hilariously hot (95-105C), but they can reliably push 10GaseT though the existing Cat5e runs in the walls of my multi-story house, where no other SFPs I've tried have been successful. I only bother with these for long in-wall runs - cheaper knock-offs (e.g. Ipolex and 10GTek) work fine for short 3-6 foot patches, e.g. between a switch and a PC, and run much cooler. If you've dismissed 10G as not being possible in your setup due to old wiring, it's worth giving a pair of these a try. Note that if you're not constrained by existing wiring, though, you're almost certainly better off using fiber instead of twisted pair copper - it's generally much cheaper and easier all around when dealing with 5-10 gig networking.

The only SFP+ to RJ45 I'll ever buy again
These are actual decent and stable transceivers, no connection issues, they don't lie about what they are in the firmware and properly report temperatures, speed, etc. Expensive, but I haven't found others that work as good as these...

Works fine with Mikrotik CSS 326 smart switch but runs hot.
Had purchased an Ipolex SPF 10G and had to return. the download speed was not up to par with a gigabit fiber and the upload speed was erratic and abysmal. The Mikrotik works just fine giving me consistent download and upload speeds on the gigabit wan. It does run very hot and I was concerned that it would fail sooner than later. Heat is the arch enemy of ICs. I created a heatsink using a 4 inch piece of U channel aluminum and used CPU thermal paste to maximize heat transfer. The temperature before HS was running around 70C (158F) with the heatsink its now running about 10C cooler or 60C (140F). only time will tell how well this works.

Optimale Geschwindigkeit fรผr anspruchsvolle Anwendungen

Works as expect
Just received, have it plugged to the sfp+ port on my rb5009ug+s+, then connect to my macbook with a belkin 1Gbps ethernet adapter. speedtest is aweful, only like 350Mbps down and 950Mbps up (download awful, upload full). Not sure what is wrong with the download speed. Was thinking to return immediately. Then I connect it to the 2.5Gbps port of my main eero mesh node and run the speedtest from the eero app and the result is reverse, download full, upload awful (download 1.6Gbps and 600ish up). My ISP plan is bell's 1.5Gbps fibre. If it won't overheat for a few days I'll keep it for the wifi trunk. Update: Using this for like a month or more, it never get overheated and constantly within 70C to 74C. I'm happy with this.
