pros and cons compared to sponges
I got these to replace my use of plastic sponges. They are obviously not as tough on scrubbing cooked on foods as sponges with the little green scrubber side, so this is best accompanied by also purchasing some kind of scrubber tool, which I did, and the combo is working well. The biggest downside is that they are flimsier and thus somewhat harder to hold onto. They feel as if they don't suds up everything quite as well, but when you squeeze it you will find plentiful soap within the absorbent cloth. They are somewhat delicate and I managed to tear one up a bit cleaning a metal cooling rack, as I was not prepared to be careful with it. It only tore some of the textured parts off and didn't rip a hole, so even when I was not careful, all things considered, it was rather sturdy. It feels like it will tear when you wring it out, feeling somewhat like a thick paper towel, but it's tougher than it seems. The upsides are plentiful and I think I prefer these to sponges. They are dramatically easier to wring out than a sponge, allowing them to dry out between uses fully, which keeps bacteria from thriving like they do in a sponge. Being able to change them out frequently without needing to actually throw them away entirely also makes me a little more confident in this regard. The ability to wring them out fully accompanied with their intense absorbency also makes cleaning the rest of the kitchen - the stovetop, countertop, border of the sink, etc. - much better. Mopping up countertop liquid with a sponge simply doesn't work, as it is not absorbent enough, assuredly leaving a thin sheen of liquid in place. These make those surfaces nearly bone dry immediately, which is important not just to disallow leftover liquid from causing damage to grout or leaving residue from hard water, but if I am cleaning up inbetween cooking tasks and need the countertop to be dry for the next step. The price point feels somewhat high, but all things considered, they are $2 each, which is about what you pay for a sponge if you are buying them individually. Unfortunately, I bought my sponges in bulk packs that were much cheaper than $1 per sponge, so this is going to be more expensive. I don't know how long they will truly last, however, so it's quite possible that the longevity will pay off and they will overall be a better deal. I have yet to figure this part out, however. I am not sure if the touted "50 uses" refers to simply one dish washing session, or if it counts my whole day as "one use". If it is the former, they may not last very long. Only time will tell.

Easy to clean, and do not absorb odors.
I love these wonderful dish cloths. They are very versatile, dry they are scrubbers without scratches. Wet they are great with dishes and counters. I can throw them in the washing machine or in the dishwasher. They do not absorb odors.

Durable, clean, darn near perfect
I’ve been using Swedish dishcloths for about two years now. The last batch I bought were getting a little worn so I tried these and I like them very much! I was satisfied with the last ones but these are bigger and a little squishier and hold soap better. They are also well textured on both sides which is nice. Extremely durable and long lasting as well. Swedish dishcloths are far superior to sponges or brushes for dish cleaning. More cleaning surface area than a brush. You can use one a day and wash it in the washing machine so they’re not accumulating bacteria. You can get them into all the little crevices of different dishes. They dry quickly and are VERY absorbent even when wet. Squeeze it out and it’ll suck up a lot of water, making them great for cleaning counters and tables too. They’re expensive so for now I mostly just use them on my dishes and for kitchen counters and tables. And I also use them to grab dishes out of the microwave because they are good buffers for heat (and I store them in a box under my microwave). I have started cycling the oldest ones from the previous brands into bathroom cleaning tho and they’re so handy for threading between the faucet and wall, a tight space that sponges and brushes struggle to get to. The *only* downside is that they don’t really “scrub” tho they claim to scrub well when dry, but they’d never be able to get certain foods off dishes, like burnt oil on a stainless steel dish. I still use a scouring pad for that. Overall I am obsessed with these things and so grateful they are available.

Better than a sponge or cloth
These are excellent to use in place of a nasty sponge. I wish they were just a bit larger however. They work well.

I love the pattern and the usefulness of these towels!
I am in love with these washcloths! They are very sturdy and remove grease off of surfaces without much effort. Perfect for wiping down stainless steel appliances and countertops. I love that they wash well and have so far held up for me after numerous washings! Perhaps my favorite part of all is that they don’t take up as much room in my kitchen drawer as the regular washcloths do. I have trashed all of my old washcloths and only have these in the drawer now with plenty of room to spare! No more cramming my drawer full of bulky washcloths! I am a satisfied customer and will be purchasing more when and if these wear out.

Great for the Kitchen
We LOVE Swedish dishcloths in my family!! After being gifted some years ago, my family has never looked back! I love the color of these specifically and they matched the kitchen great! They are pretty thick compared to others that my family has had and therefore more absorbent and durable. We’ve been using these for quite a while now and they are still working great! We’re always looking for more sustainable and affordable options so these are an absolute must!!

It does not appear to be a Swedish manufacturer's product. It came in a flimsy nylon storage bag without the label paper shown in the product introduction photo. Moreover, they were dirty, a little damp, and disgusting, so I washed them in the washing machine at high temperature to sanitize them. I do not recommend this product. PS: I have since used the product and found the cloth to be thick and firm, with no problems. Therefore, I am changing the rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

When these arrived, and they look like colorful pieces of cardboard, I was skeptical. But once they were wet...wow! Absorbent, easy to wring out and odor-free, these are the best dish cloths I have used. In fact, I packed up all my traditional cotton ones and dropped them off at a discount center. These are great for washing dishes, cleaning the counters, getting in around the bottom of the kitchen faucets and more. Also great for damp wiping your furniture. I will be ordering these again. I know I will be using less paper towels to wipe up kitchen spills.
