A great and effective DIY tool which I love using
One of the best tools I have bought, in a long time! Easy to use once you have your chosen length an put it together. I have since purchased the longer panels which allows me to easily rip a 8x4 sheet. Positives: The track panels appear well made (versus the cost), are pretty straight and packs neatly away in the provided bag. Even with my additionally purchased longer panels. The saw runs well along the track as long as long as you have put it together properly and is a decent tool in its self. It can handle all materials that I have cut using it. A more affordable DIY home use version of the more expensive professional types that are available so in terms of value for money - its right up there in the DIY arena. The clamps are fairly good and do work well. However, see below for the negatives on these. Although I consider the following to be the negatives, they are minor and I still gave it the well deserved 5 stars: The clamps are not all that strong and do bend if you are not careful. Looks like cheaper material has been used to keep costs down and may require a re-weld on the joints at some stage. Not an issue to me as I have a MIG welder. But weak non the less so be wary not to over tighten them. The plastic/ rubber guide strip get chewed up quite quickly if you are not careful. Mine are now all but gone but you just compensate for it when placing the panels on your piece you are cutting. It still works as intended without them. These can be replaced if you are that bothered about it. Putting the tracks together require the Allen Key for the small grub locking screws (4 per strip and 2 strips per panel) and is quite fiddly, but do clamp the pieces together well. I would prefer some sort of quick lock system, but you would pay more for that so am happy with the system it has. All in all, a great HOME USE product. My opinion is; its not a professional piece of kit by any means, but does stand up well against its vastly more expensive Pro-Use competitors.

Circular Saw guide
Absolutely brilliant piece of kit! Used it to cut a worktop joint. Just make sure the join in the guide is perfectly straight with a known good straight edge. Clamps go underneath so well out of the way of the circular saw movement. Highly recommended for the correct matching saw.

Excellent bit of Kit with Reservations
This is a review of the Evolution guide rail/tracks 2400mm & 1400mm. Some time ago I purchased the 2400mm track kit. Just brilliant, comparing the cost to other track manufacturers, they are very cost effective indeed. The track is true and sturdy. However, I found it a little inconvenient at times, if for example I had a piece of material about 1600 mm to cut. With both lengths of track having be joined for an extra 200mm,in order to cover the the whole cut, a great deal of track was left overhanging at both ends. So I decided to buy the the smaller kit (1400mm) in order to just extend one piece of the original track by one piece of the small kit (700mm), which would be a much better length of track to work with for that smaller piece of material. However, when it arrived the track had a bend in its width and would not line up causing the saw to jam. So it was replaced with no problems by Amazon within 2days, (which is an amazing service)? The second kit was OK, but I had trouble lining the sections up and butting the joints together. I put a straight edge along the back of the tracks and pulled them to fit to this straight edge. I could see the the cut ends on one piece were not square so by connecting the track and fitting the connection bars meant that on the joint there was a small gap on the front side of the track? So I tightened up the joining bars in this position, and it worked when making the cut? I can only assume that in manufacture, Evolution make 1400mm pieces of track and that the smaller two piece kit are those full length tracks, cut in half (700mm) on another machine, which is not as precise or accurate as the manufacturing machines track ends? If an Evolution Sliding Mitre Saw is available fitted with a multi materials cutting blade, then a simple trim on the end at a 90 degree angle would sort it, making the whole track system absolutely perfect (in my opinion anyway). Perhaps Evolution would be better off using one of their own Sliding Mitre Saws, for the track cutting, on those smaller pieces?

Does the job
I bought this to enable me to trim the interior. I couldn't seem to order the saw and the 2 pieces of trackon Amazon but managed to find it elsewhere. Very pleased with 1400mm, 2 x 700mm track, alun key and clamps. I ordered this instead of the 2800mm as I wasn't intending doing work with wood up to 8ft in length. Found the tracks were easy to connect.

excellent product
first one arrived without the joining strips but pleased with the replacement which arrived 2 days later. All the parts were provided and i put it together straight away to start my DIY project which i should have started 2 days ago. Better late than never, and once my neighbour saw it he asked me to get him one as well.

If you need to cut truly straight lines, this is your very best friend
This, as far as I know, is absolutely the only way to make truly straight, accurate and repeatable long (or short, for that matter) cuts in wood with hand-held tools. Fantastic!

Not a universal rail guide
Tested with a Bosch cordless circular saw. You would think with the grooves, it would guide the tool exactly to the edge of the rail for a precise cut. However it is too wide for the Bosch tool to be used as is recommended, I know this as my first attempt cut into the rail, almost breaking the blade. Thus, I find this description of "Universal" to be misleading. The only alternative is to use the backside as a guide, and, through trial and error, eventually line it up to where the blade needs to cut from.

Wont work with all Evolution saws, but can be modified to work just fine.
First time I've used a saw rail, the best thing is it can clamp to the material being cut without risking the clamps ever blocking the saw itself like would be the case with a straight edge and ratchet clamps or G-clamps. I bought this for my Evolution saw which I've had a couple of years so not really old. I knew it didn't specifically say it would fit it but was hoping they hadn't changed the design. Unfortunately they have so the distance from the cutting edge to the guide rail was different - I needed to use a TCT blade on the first pass to trim the rail down to size. Another gripe was that to achieve a true straight cut, rather than butting the ends of the rails together I needed to intentionally have a small gap at one end as they aren't manufactured square. These issues aside after some practice and modification I was able to fit a full kitchen with this, easily >100 cuts and the results were perfectly fine! In summary, it works with potential mods, and worth what I paid IMO. If you want perfection out of the box then spend x3 times as much.

Ottime!

Great Customer Service... few glitches but they are helping me with them
So the Clamps work well and tracks fit together nicely. The kit does NOT come with enough connectors to connect these tracks to all 3 that come with the saw but customer service was able to get me squared away with the additional connections. I did try to cut some 3/4" plywood yesterday and ran into an issue whereby the blade was seizing but customer service has been very helpful and one way or another we will get it squared away. Based on the interactions so far I will say it seems like they stand behind their products! Will update if that changes.
