Good product, would buy again
Arrived promptly, reasonably priced and are small in size (5mm), making them easy to swallow with no discomfort. They have a score line in the middle, so they can be split in half if needed. There’s no noticeable taste or smell. With 400 tablets included, they last a long time even when used by multiple people. Each tablet contains 4000 IU, which is a good serving for most people, particularly during the less sunny months. Ingredients mean they’re also appropriate for vegans.

Great for winter, step down after!
Great product for topping up your Vitamin D in the darker months. Remember not to stay on it longer than 3 months at a time without getting your blood test done, though, as daily 4000iu for longer than that can lead to hypercalcemia (oh, and drop down to 800iu for daily maintenance after winter if you're not getting enough sun) Easy to swallow pill, pretty small. Doesn't taste of anything, and has definitely helped maintain some energy levels throughout winter. Will be keeping this magic little supplement in my supplement box.

Vitamin D3 4000 IU - 400 High Strength Vitamin D Tablets (1+ Year Supply) - Vegetarian - Immune Syst
These vitamin D3 tablets have been a great addition to my daily routine. The high strength of 4000 IU per tablet means I only need one a day, which is super convenient. Plus, with 400 tablets in the bottle, I’m set for over a year, so no need to worry about running out anytime soon. I really appreciate that they are vegetarian and gluten-free, making them suitable for my dietary needs. Knowing they are made in the UK gives me confidence in their quality and safety standards. However, the tablets are a bit larger than I expected, which can make swallowing them a bit tricky sometimes. It would be nice if they were smaller or came in a more manageable size. Also, the packaging could be more eco-friendly. A lot of plastic is used, and it would be great to see a more sustainable option. Overall, these tablets are a solid choice for anyone looking to boost their immune system with a reliable vitamin D supplement.

Effective as prescript level for kids
Got prescription from doctor to take 4000iu Vit-D for my kid's health needs after confirming via blood test. There are 2 key factors to my satisfaction on this supplement. 1. it works per what expected from blood test and doctor prescription, to ease certain symptoms 2. the pills are in very small size, easy for kids who are all usually difficult in swallowing pills. I don't understand why all other supplement pills need to make their pills/tablets/capsules such a big size, with most of it bulking agents and fillers, even worse often maltodextrin and starch etc which is concerning for certain health situations, yet to consider some tablets being made so big that even adults would get choked. Apart from marketing and illusions of bulking up big bottles in fewer dozes for more repeat orders and manipulating consumer psychology, I just can't understand any other reasons. Maybe its also safety measures to make everyone difficult to swallow, so less chance of accidental kids overdose. This pill is just 6mm in diameter and so easy for a little kid to take. My kids are well educated on drug safety and administering their own medicine intake under our supervision. So having safety in process, this would be a great choice, not only for them and also for adults.

Maybe Sunlight is The Answer?
As far as vitamin supplements are concerned these are fine. I bought a vitamin D3 supplement specifically because I had some very dry skin on my face, even though I'd never suffered with any skin complaints before. Anyway I was advised by a friend that I was probably lacking in vitamin D, and that a D3 supplement would resolve the problem. As it turns out, and having spoken to another friend since (who just happens to be a doctor with an interest in dermatology), it wasn't a lack of vitamin D (or even D3) I had at all. Vitamins are a bit confusing in a way. but here's the science bit as they used to say... In the vast majority of people, vitamin D and D3 is normally manufactured in ample amounts by the body itself. But what it needs is UVB (Ultra Violet Beta) as a sort of "key" to unlock the vitamin D that the body has stored. UVB (and UVA) both being sourced from the sunlight. Anyway to cut a long story short, since the sun has (finally) been making an appearance in the UK over the last week or two, I've just been sitting in the garden for no more than 10 minutes a day, and the dry skin on my face has completely disappeared! I feel it's important to point out that excess UVB and UVA can be very damaging to the skin, hence why we've all been educated about covering up in hot weather. But as my doctor friend explained, you literally only have to have your hands or your face exposed to sunlight for 5-10 minutes for a few days in order to kick-start the release of vitamins D and E. So please don't start stripping off and sitting in the sun for hours! Also, if you do ever need a top up of vitamin D, it is important to make sure you also have it with a calcium supplement, either within the vitamin D or as a separate supplement. I'm not really sure about the positives and negatives of self administration of vitamin supplements, especially high doses - or minerals for that matter? So as ever, the best advice if you are unsure, is ALWAYS consult your doctor first, and always read labels/instructions very carefully.
