It is approximately 4 1/2 inches high.

Not sure if this answets your question but is about 9 1/2 wide on inside diameter of pot . measuring just from one side to the other.

It says on first use need to coat it with olive oil. Is this just to use it the first time. Or just coat it with olive oil then wash it with soap ?

I washed my T-Fal in warm soupy water. I did not put oil in the pans. My mother taught me you only do that with Cast Iron pans.
