DC coil; not AC
I share part of the blame for not reading carefully. But I ordered this relay to use with the thermostat circuit on my HVAC system. American nomenclature for voltage is to specify the level, followed by either 'VAC' or 'VDC', depending on whether the voltage is AC or DC. When I read the listing for this item, I (wrongly) interpreted 'MK2P-I DC' as the model number, and since 24V is typical coil voltage for HVAC systems, I (wrongly) assumed that it was a 24V *AC* coil. I can likely deal with the situation by including a diode in the coil circuit, but might have ordered a different product if the header had said '24VDC' instead of ' MK2P-I DC 24V' The label on the relay case has the contact diagram and contact voltage/current ratings clearly labeled, but omits the spec for the coil. Fortunately, the clear case allows the wrap on the coil itself to be visible, and it is clearly labeled '24VDC'. I consider the full labeling of items like this to be pretty important, since they're frequently placed on the shelf for future use, and documentation often fails to travel with the part.

Seems to be working really well so far. No issues or complaints
Nice thin mounted power relay. A nice number of poles being able to control two poles normally open normally connected. It gives the law of versatility and installation
