Amazon, you'd do yourself a huge favor in posting on the country of origin on the front page of every item you sell. For me, I have long sense stopped purchasing goods made in China. My theory is if Amazon makes it difficult for me to see where the product is made, then I don't need it. With this all being said, I was thrilled to have found these gallon sized jars. They are perfect for a variety of things. Quality, thick glass with no bubbles in the glass, good weight and perfect for making pickles. This was my second purchase of these jars.

I usually like to feel the weight of a jar before I buy it, to make sure it's solid enough for my needs, which you can't do if you buy it online. So, I was quite pleased to find that these two jars were exactly what I was looking for. I use them to partially freeze water, and they seem to do just fine in the freezer.......though I've never frozen the water completely solid so, if you're going to use the jars for freezing something, I have not done that, and don't know how they'd stand up to something being completely frozen inside them. But, if that was what I needed to use them for, I'd definitely give them a try.

Two nice big jars. Sturdy. Comes with a screw lid and a cloth+rubberband so you can you use it for the whole kombucha making process. Came well packed with no chips or breakage. Definitely a good boy.

If you're just getting into kombucha brewing, these jars are a great value for the money. They include everything you need for your basic setup: the jars, cloth cover, rubber bands, plastic lids, and even adhesive labels. Don't listen to other reviewers who say these aren't gallon jars because they are; some people just can't math right. 4 quarts is a gallon and these jars hold 4 quarts. They will NOT, however, hold 4 quarts, plus a SCOBY and 1 cup of additional liquid (because that's more than 1 gallon). So do the math: reduce your initial 4 quarts to 3 quarts and 2 cups. That should be enough to accommodate for your SCOBY.

Came with only one muslin cloth and rubber band instead of two as advertised. One jar has a mold defect causing a high center so the jar rocks very slightly sitting on a flat surface. The lids are plastic with a thin waxed cardboard liner; they remained sealed when I sloshed water inside them. The cloth is 12" square and hemmed. The rubber band is nice and stout, but it is too big to fit around the neck of the jars unless you double it. These jars suit my purpose (fermenting sauerkraut), and for the price they are worth it. I deducted one star because of the missing cloth and band, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

I use one to brew kombucha and the other to maintain my SCOBY hotel. They are perfect for the job. It comes with cloth and rubber bands- in addition to the screw-on lid. I have had ZERO issues with these jars. They are easy to handle and easy to clean. The opening is large enough for my hand/arm. I plan on purchasing more of this product in the near future.

While the gallon jars were basically what I expected, sturdy, easy to clean etc., what really impressed me was the clever, all cardboard packaging which easily broke down for recycling or you could use it to store your jars. No toxic plastic or styrofoam!

These are great jars. They are sturdy and the cloth is very nice, thick cotton. I make Kombucha in them. I am super happy with them and have had them for a few months now. I've made a couple batches of Kombucha and no complaints. Highly recommend!

Order was missing 1 Muslin Cloth and 1 Rubber Band

Algunas veces tenemos que guardar un caldillo, y resulta que los de uso diario son pequeño. Perfecto para guardar el caldo de pollo con todos sus ingredientes, carne, verduras, granos etc. Indispensables en la cocina.

El paquete llegó incompleto. Calidad de tarro de vidrio es myu bien. Parte del pedido no fue enviado. El proveedor no respondió durante mucho tiempo.

El paquete solo traía una tela y una liga a diferencia de la descripción. La tela se ve de mala cálida y se ve como sucia, el color es como gris. Las especificaciones del paquete menciona que es muselina, la muselina es 100% algodón y la tela recibida no es algodón, es como platico
