Horrible camera. Wont stay connected to wifi. Dont waste your money

I was looking for a small camera to remotely monitor my vacation rental's garage door to ensure door is not inadvertently left open. Found this camera which is small and flexible enough to conveniently place on the corner of garage. Camera was initially setup by installing the 'iMegaCam' android app to my phone. Phone is also switched to the home's 2.4G Wifi network, according to the instructions manual. The 'iMegaCam' app was then invoked, QR code scanned, and camera was added via Wifi setting method without any hiccup. It takes some adjustment to the camera lens (by rotating lens) to get the correct viewing angle. Video quality is excellent, and sound quality is adequate for this camera's low price range. I find the motion detection and alarm alert features, albeit some delay, are very good and accurate. The infrared vision is surprisingly clear, especially for my garage which is completely dark when the door is closed. Overall I'm extremely happy with the features, quality of camera. It gives me and my guests much security peace of mind at the residence.

I bought this after combing through tons of reviews on lots of these kinds of cameras. The bottom line seems to be that none of the WiFi cameras do a very good job in terms of motion detection. Here are my pros and cons after having used a larger brand camera with which I am very frustrated. PROS: This camera has a nice quality picture. It's motion detection is a little more reliable than the other I used. Motion detection is also a little more customizable in that you can select user defined rectangular areas and pick different sensitivities for those areas. I really like this feature. You can also set it to constantly record snapshots while just capturing motion video and vice-versa if you want to continually monitor for accuracy. CONS: The lens view on this thing is so limited. It has no wide angle to it so you are looking at almost a 2D snapshot of what is right in front of it. The video capture makes H.264 files so you must either use their built in web player or find something to convert them. Their built in web player is so limited. You cannot rewind during a video playback, for instance, and the interface is just clumsy. Motion detection is still subject to false positives but it does seem to capture all the real positives as well. My biggest con on this thing, however, is the dang power supply. It's a USB power-cord which would be fine except that like most USB connections, it's not particularly tight. And so if bumped, it is easily shut off due to a loose connection. Because the cord is short, you must use an extension cord which then puts weight on this and inevitably causes it to disconnect all the time. Mine is constantly turning off because we bump the cord by accident (it sits on a window sill). And you have to bend the cord in an awkward angle just to get it into the back of the camera. It's a really poorly thought out design. Overall, it's a good bang for the buck. But I still wouldn't want to rely on it solely for security purposes.

We got it to connect once only and that only lasted for one use. It never connected to WiFi in all our attempts and trouble shooting. Returned since it didn’t work

Poor picture and voice quality, be aware~

At first it worked great now 10 months later nothing is working. It won’t connect to anything.

The connection keeps dropping and I hate that even with minor shadows it instantly CLICKS to night mode, then you walk past it and it CLICKS back to day mode. CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH.

I ordered this product because my sister-in-law loves hers so she sent me the link. However, the one that came doesn't have the Pan & Tilt option which is what I truly needed. Not sure how this happened. This one works but can't pan the room to monitor my pets.
