Money Well Spent! Very Happy Frothier!
General: I wondered if the other reviews I read today were true or not. It turns out they WERE!! I wanted a frothier to do the hot chocolate like I buy for £3.60 in the cafe shop. They use Green and Blacks and I have Oat Milk. I bought the green and blacks' chocolate and added normal water from kettle and just wasn't getting the same thick taste. I thought a frothier will do. I spent 1 hour researching. Today I can say, OMG, this frothier was AMAZING! Heats the milk so I used part hot kettle water and the rest toped up with the frothier milk, with a sprinkle of the hot chocolate powder. Ladies and gentlemen. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this frothier from swan. I read the reviews and got the frothier delivered the same day!! Pro: a) Smaller than what I thought which is good and doesn't take up kitchen space b) Easy to clean I just used hot water and then a cloth to wipe clean c) When you open box undo the lid and the stirrer is attached to lid just place it on the bottom of the jug d) Only put about two inches of milk as the frothier will make it froth twice the size e) Let it froth for about 80 seconds, any longer it gets more thicker so up to you. Cons a) If you were having an experesso with milk for two people this will be fine, but the deepness is really enough only for one large hot chocolate - but hey who cares I live on my own so plenty for me!! If my review doesn't make you buy one, you'll be missing out! I did actually order a £50 one arriving tomorrow but will cancel that order as the one today is perfect! Viva la chocolate!!

Reliable and efficient
The Swan Automatic Milk Frother and Warmer is a fantastic addition to any coffee lover's kitchen. With its sleek black design, it adds a touch of elegance to any countertop. The 2-layer non-stick coating ensures easy cleaning and prevents milk from sticking to the surface. With a powerful 500W motor, this milk frother quickly and effortlessly froths milk to perfection. Whether you're making lattes, cappuccinos, or hot chocolates, you can expect a creamy and velvety texture every time. The frother also doubles as a milk warmer, allowing you to enjoy hot beverages without the need for a separate device. One of the standout features of this milk frother is its automatic function. Simply pour in the desired amount of milk, press a button, and let it do the work for you. This makes it incredibly convenient, especially during busy mornings or when entertaining guests.

I like it, and so does Which? Magazine - but one caveat
The caveat: don't leave the frother on the base when you are not using it. If someone or something knocks against the on button it will overheat and melt. There is no safety cut-off like in a kettle. I learnwd this the hard way! There is no way around it, a milk heater and frother is definitely a bit of a luxury item. I was horrified to see the prices of these things and had pretty much abandoned any idea of ever getting one - but I do like my coffee. I checked the Which? Magazine and, sure enough, there are some VERY expensive ones out there. This one (still a lot of money to my mind) was rated very highly by them so I though I would give it a try. I am very pleased with it. The first time I used it, there were signs of burned-on milk that were slightly awkward to clean (exactly as detailed in the Which? article) but this has never recurred. Clean-up seems daunting but, actually it is reasonably easy. I use a silicone spatula (flat ended is best) to help dispense the foam and this is also very good for "scrubbing" during clean-up. Paper towel also a good tool here. This is perfect for making coffee in ones and twos, If you regularly serve larger numbers, you may want one with more capacity (although milk HEATING capacity is much greater than FROTHING capacity, obviously). TIPS: 1) Get a flat-ended silicone-rubber spatula. It is good for dispensing the foam, but also makes cleaning easier. 2) The level markers are a bit difficult to see in all but the brightest light. However, note that the MIN level is easily determined by noting how much of the impeller is covered. At MIN, the impeller is only just sticking out of the milk. 3) DO pay attention to the MIN and MAX levels (even though they are a little hard to see. Overflow is messy and, I think, under-filling might result in burn-on. 4) Spare impellers are available. I have reviewed the ones that I found that did fit the Swan frother. 5) Don't leave it on the base when not using it. If it gets turned on by accident, it will have a melt-down.

Great Froth!
Love this frother! Heats milk to a perfect temperature but the amount of froth it generates is insane! Even putting in the least amount of milk indicated on the inside of the jug it still managed to spill over…. but it is great froth so it does what it says on the tin!

Rubbish customer service by AMAZON & SWAN
Ok so this is the second frother purchased and to be honest the first was absolutely fine no issues and still working after at two years. The second (identical frother) is a different case. It worked fine for the first couple of months after Christmas and in March the heater element stopped working. Amazon do not except returns after 30 days and tell you to direct to SWAN for a replacement. SWAN say I have to go back to AMAZON. Basically neither will take responsibility for the faulty product which is not acceptable. After reading other reviews this seems to be both a common fault with the product but also a common issue with neither organisation taking their customer service responsibly.

It's not 1.2 litres
Really enjoying having a milk heater to make cocoa in milk, but there are a couple of things I'm not really happy about. - There is always a milk scum layer so not just a quick rinse. - It doesn't get hot enough, by the time I've poured the drink into the cup, cleaned up the milk scum and sat down, the drink is just lukewarm (but it seems most milk heaters heat to similar temps).. - Also in the product information part, it states 1.2l capacity which is why I got this one so I could make a few drinks at a time, upon reading in the description it's 240ml which is short in cosy cup (350ml) .. Other than that it has been handy to have around and is used daily by everyone in the house. It beats using a saucepan on the hob..

Quick & easy hot or cold milk.
This is my second purchase of this milk frother. I bought my original one direct from the manufacturer. It had daily use for about 3 yrs before it finally went on strike. I replaced it with a supermarket own brand & went through 2 of theres within 6 months (I did return them) It was just false economy. So, i repurchase this one & it’s been amazing. You can have hot or cold milk, frothy or not frothy. The little switch on the front lights up blue or Red, depending on whether you’re heating or just mixing. Great for cappuccino, Lattes, Mochas, milkshakes etc. I mainly use mine with my coffee pod machine. Put a bit of flavoured syrup in your milk & it mixes it well, then add to your coffee. In the winter we like to make different flavour hot chocolate. Add a couple of pieces of your favourite chocolate bar (chocolate orange is the dogs doo dahs) then add your milk, pop the lid on & put it on to heat up. Thank me later. It’s safe for the older kids to use themselves too. My only advice would be…..don’t use it more than once to heat milk without rinsing or wiping it out in between. The hot milk likes to bake to the bottom sometimes, then you start getting issues. Also, don’t use anything abrasive to clean it, it’s a non stick coating & it will damage it. A little tip for you as well…..when you’re not using the little whisking attachment, it clips into the lid, so you don’t lose it.

Smooth & Creamy
Honestly, didn’t expect much as it feels like a small machine and hopefully will add some magic to the cold winter… and it did! We use oat milk and it’s so creamy!! Kids absolutely love it! It wasn’t too hot so they can drink straight away! We made two round already, I think I need more cups and spoons for the winter 😅😂
