What included in the box?

This is a barebone drive. You're getting it cheaper because there is no software disk, manual and often not even a box. Physical stores sell these in a plastic bag, not even cardboard box. Don't worry though, my Windows 10 PC detected and installed it without any issues (didn't even have to download anything). You can then go to the LG site and download the software that would have came with it and download it. The software might have some nice features.

where can i get the software for this drive

Software can be downloaded online or you can request a disc from us - I would need to know what you operating system you have and if you are needing a media player to play blu ray/dvd or the burning software to burn cd/dvd/blu ray - Thank you

Does this drive come with software?

NO. It is only a BDRL drive. It does not even come with any hardware to install or connect it.
