VITAM AMO Weather Stripping #501

I bought this because the door and a couple of windows let in chilly air and a bit of noise. I wanted a simple, cut to fit seal that could cover a large gap without a lot of fuss, and the 18 foot roll seemed like it would cover more than one spot. Applying it was straightforward. I cleaned the frames, peeled off the backing, and pressed it along the edge. It sticks well to wood and painted surfaces, and I was able to cut to size with scissors. The material stays flexible even when it gets colder, so it doesn’t crack or peel in winter. What stood out most is how well the design blocks drafts and softens noise. The perforated holes seem to help ease the door when it closes, so there is less slam and vibration. It also blocks light and wind more than I expected for a simple strip. One small caveat is that the adhesive needs a clean, dry surface and a smooth edge to hold best, so I prepped the frame a bit. The install is quick and straightforward, and the results are worth it. Overall, it earns five stars for reducing drafts with minimal effort.

Great weather stripping – flexible, sticks well, and really blocks drafts. It made my apartment quieter and warmer. Adhesive is strong, no peeling so far.

I have a few windows that were drafty now that were in single digit temperatures. They did stop the draft and made an instant noticeable difference. I’m definitely glad I purchased these for my house. It was a quick and affordable way to improve the window seals. My only complaint is that they don’t stick great to the area around the windows. I’ve had to press them down to reattach several times.

Did a great job sealing my door. My wife noticed immediately how much warmer it felt. I hadn't realized just how much energy I was losing out that door.

Build quality is good, adhesive is excellent, and the ease of application is self explanatory. Unfortunately the item I received is not what is pictured. This is not a D shaped insulation weather strip. What I received was the flat spongy/rubber-like material. While it still does the job, I was actually wanting the D shaped one. This is the reason for the 3 star review.

Works great. The adhesive is strong, the material cuts easily, seals well and it is easy to install. Appearance-wise, it looks good. Cannot complain.

Excellent shipping time, excellent product. Easy to peel and stick on. Shut down the draft we had on all three of our doors.

I bought product in 2023 & hadn’t installed it around my aluminum windows. Did today (2025) & was really impressed. The adhesive is first-order sticky, strong & the weather stripping strip can be lifted & re-positioned without loss of stickiness. I installed it on 3 sides of my window jams - 2 sides & the bottom. Closing & re-opening the window was very tough, but I pushed & pulled! As I pulled up to open the window, one side of the weather stripping shredded. I’ve added photos. I cannot bring myself to give this product a bad review. It appears to be an excellent product (performs as promised), good for insulating windows if one doesn’t plan to open them (for winter/hot summers.).

These work really well and the white matches the door. It is easy to install and does stay in place all year. I only replace it because my cats can be jerks haha

Must be put on in warm sunny day. Clean doors well before you peel back the top. Once stuck you can not move it. It worked like a charm. Stoped all my wind noise. Excellent product

j'ai au préalable découpé le bourrelet en caoutchouc qui avait séché de façon à avoir une surface plate et propre des 5 fenêtres d'une caravane soit 19m de joint , que j'ai posé sans aucune difficultés après un petit nettoyage du vieux joint à l'acétone : collant parfait ainsi que l'épaisseur pour un prix correct.
