Question 2

Has anyone installed these through an existing opening where you could not install from above?  Worried they would be too fragile.

I installed 20 plus FF135 Recessed Light Covers over recessed light fixtures in my attic.  Some areas back in corners, it was very difficult to crawl and lay on my stomach to fit the FF135 over recessed light fixtures because to get a good fit I had to cut the FF135 light cover to fit over electrical wires.  To seal the cuts made and seal the FF135 light cover to ceiling/sheetrock, I used expanding foam sealant. Sometimes I used a can of expanding foam sealant for each FF135 light cover installed because I could not visually see around the back of the cover and I wanted to be sure I got a good seal.  I was very happy with the product.  I first just purchased one to try before I decided to purchase the 20 plus.

How much foam would I need to seal 10 covers?

It would depend on how many support beams you would have to adjust over I had to modify two of the four light covers (which required more foam) and used about 1 1/2 cans of spray foam for the four light covers.

Can i use these with can lights i converted to leds?
