This is a maths book, aimed at children within key stage 1.I got this for my daughter as she loves learning at home, and to supplement what she's learning at schoolThe book is nicely presented with bright colours and engaging pictures. It is designed to be worked through front to back and gets progressively more difficult as you go through it.Although your child can do the exercises without help, they might need help reading the questions and understanding what they are meant to do.

A useful book for a bit of extra help outside of school. Nicely laid out and engaging. Questions aren't to long so can do a little at a time without losing interest

This CGP book covers everything that is taught in year 1 maths and would be a good tool to use to recap everything learnt at the end of the year but also as an aid for recapping each topic as it is being learnt at school.Each page covers a different topic, with practise questions at the end of each section to reinforce what has just been learnt and show which areas might need to be looked at a bit more.As the book covers the entire year 1, the book is more of an overview rather than a detailed guide to the topics.The questions on each page are laid out clearly with illustrations to help keep young children engaged. There is no space on the page to write the answers to the questions but this is probably a good thing as it allows the questions to be done again.
