Grass Fed Beef Jerky, Mango Habanero, 9g Protein - 16 oz

Love this jerky very flavorful and not hot or too spicy at all😍

I almost hesitated on buying this due to some of the bad reviews. However, I was able to get these for about $14 so I took the chance. Glad I did. Those bad reviews must be from a bad batch or just picky-negative-never-satisfied people. This beef jerky is on point: looks , smell and tastes good. Simple, clean ingredients. I’m an Iron Worker and I eat these during coffee as a light snack 4 energy. It’s comparable to old trapper and might be my go to if the price is right.

This is the lowest sodium grass-fed beef jerky I have been able to find. It is a bit sweet and has several grams of sugar per serving, but I guess that's the trade-off for the low sodium. Flavor is excellent as long as you like spicy (I do) and the texture is a moist jerky, not super dry and chewy. Keep in the fridge after opening. The 1 lb size is the most economical if you eat a lot of jerky.

This isn't jerky. It's very moist. If you like the texture of eating raw meat, this is for you. The texture is so soft that I thought that I received a bad batch, but I didn't notice any mold or foul smell. I'm quite disappointed. This is the worst jerky that I ever had. I couldn't enjoy the flavor because I was so put off by the texture. This is my first time trying this brand, but I sense it wasn't put in the dehydrator long enough. I placed the beef in the dehydrator for 4 hours at 150F. It's now dry and chewy like normal beef jerky.

If I could, I would rate this 3.5 out of 5. But I rounded up to 4. Basically, I can eat this bag but I don't think I would get it again. I want to try out other options. But I would rather eat this than any Jack Links garbage. Mango Habanero Taste---------------- So, mango habanero. It's VERY mango-y, and mild on the heat. I think they need to tone down the mango-ness as it is overpowering the beef. It's an interesting balance they decided to go with since mango can easily overpower something but habanero cannot. What I mean is, mango is thick and powerful. Habanero is just flavorful heat, there can't be so much of it that you can't taste the meat, even if it burns your mouth off. So if they went with a more habanero favored balance then you can get the beef, habanero, mango trifecta. Not really sure why they leaned on the mango so much. That being said, it is edible. It's just there isn't a kick and you don't get the flavor of the habanero in there. Now of course, there are times when you can really get a bite that has a much more pronounced habanero taste. Those are the best pieces. But I can definitely finish this bag no problem, hence the 4 star rating. Beef taste------------------------------- As for the beef itself, it's pretty good. I really hate Jack Links beef jerky, it looks like you're eating rubber. But this beef is well done, you can get some tear off it. Nice stuff, with Jack Links I might as well be eating a beef flavored gummy bear. So, while mango habanero may be a bit of a disappointment, I think their other more traditional flavors have a good chance at being quite tasty if this is there usual way of handling the beef side of things. Beef Texture----------------------------- The beef here is about right on the thickness. Some beef jerky brands are paper thing, some are thick but made of gelatin -ahem- Jack Links -ahem-.... This beef is a good thickness, definitely feels closer to what the beef used to be rather than dehydrating the life out of it. So, pretty good.

I really liked the taste of this jerky and appreciated that it’s made with grass-fed beef, but I do think the value for the price could be better. The flavor was good, the texture was enjoyable, and it felt like a higher-quality snack compared to some other jerky options I’ve tried. My biggest disappointment was the quantity in the bag. When I opened it, it felt like the bag was only about a quarter of the way full, which made it hard to justify the price for how quickly it disappeared. It’s one of those snacks you finish much faster than expected. That said, I do think it works well as a travel snack, especially for plane rides or busy travel days when you want something easy with a little protein. I’ve packed it for trips and appreciated having something convenient that wasn’t overly messy or unhealthy. Tastes great, just wish there was a little more product for the cost. Probably not something I’d buy constantly because of the price, but still a solid occasional travel snack.

Ok , so just don't look at the price. Think of it like this - go buy 3lbs of quality beef at the store , spices, gas to drive there , dry it down to 1 lb and you'll spend just as much . This is'nt gobble down stuff , its more of a special treat like a glass of fine scotch. Cudos to the lady with the review 'more mango than hot'. This is a tender quality jerky with a really good flavor and a nice balance of sweet n spicey, not burn your face off. It's really tender and the first thing I noticed was that it didn't get stuck in my teeth .... AT ALL. Even my own home made jerky that I trim up six ways to sunday gets stuck in my teeth. It's very tender , I think some folks mistake sticky sugary corn syrup gooped up roadkill for 'moist' . This is actually mostly just MEAT with a good moisture content and it was very yummy 👍
