Works great
There isn't really much to be said. They break rocks, as they should. Make sure you have one of those little magnets on a stick for if (when) you drop one of the feathers into your hole.

Worked great - had fun splitting rock
The included drill bit worked great. I drilled around 30 holes and the bit still wanted more. The feathers and wedges worked great - bands as well. Follow the instructions. Hole placement about 6" apart. Wedges in properly alignment - moderate "taps" - not pounding with sledgehammer - and damn! - the rock split. The rocks was moderately dense New England granite. A local granite shop sell a single feather and wedge (same size) for about $6-$8. This was a great deal with included drill bit.

As advertised.
I used these wedges and they are ok. They are sturdy. I am new to cutting stone. I also bought wedge and feathers from another source in three pieces without being banded together. With some practice I found the ones not banded together are easier to work with. I still gave these 4 stars because they are sturdy and do the job.

broke a lot of rocks with these
with a 3/4 drill bit, 20 of these, and a hammer i have broken about 20 large boulders in my yard. they are durable and work well, and the price is good too. they are a little pricey, but they are made of good steel and well worth it, and i don't see them breaking any time soon. put a little grease on them, where the surfaces touch, and there is basically zero wear.

Durable
Work very well take up quite the pounding love that it comes with multiple sets nothing like breaking down some rocks and having something break and not have the replacement for it

Easy peasy. No more mower deck killer!
OK, so after years of banging up my mower deck hitting the top of this boulder that was sticking out of my yard I decided no more! Picked up a $90 HF rotary hammer drill and got to work. ~25 6โ holes later (20 min total) And I was ready to tap in the wedges. It was amazing how easy and how little effort you have to put behind hammering these in. I used a 3 lb sledge. A few minutes later and the sweet sound on the rock splitting apart. Would definitely buy these againโฆgreat deal for 10 wedge/feather sets! One of the rubber o-brings broke but that didnโt affect how these work. Can prob pick up a replacement for a few cents at the hardware store.

Works
I wanted to split a some thicker rocks to be thinner to be able to use as cap rocks for a rough wall. This tool can be used for this purpose. You will get the best splitting with harder rocks than with softer rock. You need to drill the holes deep enough to coerce the rock to crack in the way you may want. In my case I used a Milwaukee 12" long x 5/8" dia concrete bit and was mostly successful in cracking a number of single rocks to get two flat rocks out of each original rock (each split rock being about half the original rock thickness). The image shows a very nice split. Clever tool...

Great butโฆโฆ
They work very well. But your description is missing the information on the O-ring. After some use they break with the rough treatment, and thatโs expected. However, you donโt list the size or number of the O-ring. You should also sell them separately for just this reason. Iโm having a hard time finding replacements. This is why the lower rating.

Simple and strong
Had 80 pieces of 12 inch thic,10 inch wide, 1100mm long granite curd stones to cut. To make garden boarders. As disc cutting would have taken days, covered my hoses and garden in cutting dust and watery slop and also cost way to much. This time tested way was invaluable, each slab needed around nine 14mm holes about 75mm deep. Clean out hole very important. Then set up with the wedge and feathers, several hammer sticks each in turn and hay presto. I've now got 135 meters of 6 X 5 inch granite edged boraders to my garden. Thought I'd break or bend at least 1 but there hardly even worn in. Did use 6 drill bits though but even at ยฃ4 each well worth the purchase.

Surprisingly effective and easy method to split granite.
I bought this after seeing how to do it on YouTube. I had to split a sizeable granite rock in the garden that was in the way. With a row of holes drilled at approximately 100 mm distance and the depth of the feathers, it did not take more than four or five relatively gentle taps with a small sledge hammer before the crack appeared and the stone split. I am very impressed with the method and also with the product that did exactly what I hoped for.

Works as intended
They work, just not as easy as all the YT videos make it out to be, but I got the job done. make sure you're working area is somewhat clean, because the wedges and rubber band that holds them can go flying when they fall, and can be quite hard to find again at times.

I was very impressed with the overall look and feel of the shims.. Though haven't yet tested the relative merits of the steal.
