2012 cummins
perfect fit no problems. on a side note and my opinion. my truck is deleted 2012 3500, and few up grades, such as upgraded the stock turbo, manifold, studs, 60hp injectors, intake, trans rebuild, and few other things. one thing I did do was delete the ccv at about 25k miles. I added a catch can, was getting more oil then what I thought was normal. I then put a new ccv filter on at about 32k miles. With the catch can between and hooked back into the intake, maybe had about 1/8 inch of oil at the bottom of can after about 4k miles. with ccv deleted I had about 1/2inch of oil in the can after 4k miles. Im just saying in my opinion stick with the stock ccv setup. yes it will cause problems if clogged so i just change the filter every 15kmiles. Probably doesnt need to be changed that often but that way I know I wont have any clogging issues most likely. truck now has 98k miles. no problems went threw 2 alternators thats it. treat her like shes the girl you always wanted and she will last forever.

A no-brainer DIY -- simple installation, and saves significant money compared to dealership!
If you have even a hint of mechanical aptitude -- like if you can change your own oil on your Cummins truck -- this is maintenance you should do yourself rather than paying dealership rates for it. You just pop the plastic engine shroud off (four fasteners, I think), remove fewer than a dozen nuts on the engine top cover, remove that, pull up the old filter, push in the new filter, then put the two covers back on. I believe this is supposed to be done every 67,500 miles on the 6.7-liter diesels. Start to finish, replacing this filter probably took me less than fifteen minutes, and I had never done it before. Be sure to properly dispose of the old filter, which is likely to be saturated in oil -- don't landfill it! I dropped mine off along with used engine oil filters. Nearly any recycling center or even waste facility will take that stuff, they just don't want it mixed in with general garbage to pollute the landfill or the water table.

Mechanic Noticed Sludge Oil on Crankcase, Said to Replace This
Exact replacement for my International 4300 with a Cummins 6.7 240hp engine. Watched a Youtube video of how to take apart the crankcase top with 8 bolts and then replacing the filter. Well, I am glad I picked this up because I had the original filter with an engine that just hit 555,555 miles. Engine started seeping oil to the sides of the crankcase top. Nothing major but enough to form clumps near the back of the engine. Never replaced the filter either when the manual says to do it every 67,000. Always did my oil changes on time though roughly 10-12k intervals. Easy to install and took about 45 minutes to properly clean the crankcase top as I never did before and used brake cleaner and engine degreaser to really wipe away all the in and outs of the cover. Some sludge took a considerable amount of force to wipe away. I suppose she will run cleaner now lol.

Great price, great product fits 2017 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins.
The filter appeared to be identical with the original one that came with my 2017 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins Laramie. I just changed my first CCV filter at 40K miles. I believe it is recommended to be replaced at 60K, per manual. I replaced it sooner myself despite the mileage since I did a major service on my truck at this point in time, so mind as well change this filter too. The only reason I did not give 5 Stars to this product it was because of some imperfections that were noticeable at the edges of the filter, since there was some sharp plastic edges sticking out perhaps left unpolished from manufacturing process while the quality control perhaps ignore these โsmallโ details. However, I use a little sandpaper and clean these out. The filter fit perfect and there was no issues with installation. I will see how reliable this part is in the future vs the Mopar part that was installed from the assembly line back in 2017. It is fairly easy to replace it, as long as you donโt mind getting your hands dirty. Have fun!

Perfect replacement for the original one. Stick with paying a little more for this one. You never know what your gonna get with the cheap Chinese knock offs.
