Advanced Comfort and Natural Sensitivity
I tested the Skins Non-Latex XL Condoms this afternoon, and they work wellโthe Thermo Fit Technology is genuinely impressive, as the material quickly warms to body temperature for a much more natural, "second skin" feel compared to traditional options. The XL sizing provides that crucial extra room without sacrificing security, while the super thin yet strong construction offers complete peace of mind, confirming a solid build quality in this hypoallergenic and latex-free design. I found the smooth shape and clear, odourless material to be a massive improvement over standard condoms, making this 8-pack fantastic good value for anyone with a latex sensitivity or those simply seeking a more comfortable fit. I highly recommend these if you want a reliable, ultra-thin non-latex option that prioritizes both safety and heightened sensitivity for a better overall experience.

It takes some getting used to!
These non-latex condoms definitely need some practice, or patience, bit of both really. When opened, the condom is very rigid and it doesn't look like it's gonna come on at all. It needs to be held in hand for a few seconds (apparently 15, but mine needed more time) and rolling it down should become easier. It needs a some more rubbing to work out the bubbles and I'm sorry, but it does look comical. My little buddy looked like it was accidentally left in a shrinkwrap machine :D so the difficulty of putting it on and the comical look can definitely kill the mood, especially with new couples who have other things on their mind too. Once it's on and the light are off and everybody stopped laughing, the feeling is very nice. It does feel like wearing nothing as the material is very thin and takes the heat from the participants' body. Taking it off was another difficulty, so well...maybe if I was allergic to latex, I'd buy more. But as I'm not, I'm not very keen.

Really good, once you manage to get them on!
This is a pack of 8 non latex condoms from Skins. These are well packaged and look premium. The "pros" are that it is thin, has a good feel in use and don't have the usual odour you get from latex condoms. The main drawback is that they are incredibly difficult to put on. They don't roll easily as it feels that the material is stuck to itself, so then you end up taking it off and rolling it between two fingers, and the worry is that you may damage it. Eventually once its on its fine, but it is not as simple a process as it should be. This is off set by the nice performance of it, but it is certainly something to be aware of. This wasn't a one off issue, but an issue with each one in the pack. Overall I do like these, but the "installation process" is a bit frustrating.

Impractical, disappointing
Skins is a well recognised brand in the latex free space and so it was very disappointing to have to write a negative review. As a user of latex free condoms, I have been aware of the brand but I havenโt used their products previously. Although latex free condoms are targeted towards those who have a latex allergy, they can be used by anyone and some people have a preference for them even without having an allergy. Generally, a latex free condom will be very similar in look and feel to a standard one. The issues that I have with this product are not due to it being latex free, as I have used latex free previously and also they are a recognised brand in the space so I have confidence they would have a good latex free offering. The issues can be summarised as being impractical, which given the nature of the use is not a small criticism. First problem is with the wrapper. On paper, they are designed to be easy open and have a slight indent that you are meant to use to open. In practice though, this doesnโt work very well at all. Unlike other peer products where the wrapper is designed to be easy to tear wherever you try and open it, the wrapper is really thick and essentially impossible to open unless you use this indent. Trouble is, in the dark and in the moment, this is high on impossible and you will have to stop what you are doing in order to hunt for an indent. Not exactly ideal. This is very much a pattern, as the second issue is that once opened, it is unreasonably difficult to unroll and apply. It is so tightly wound up that this is a task that is impossible to do quickly. You have to essentially bring everything to a halt so you can sit and painstakingly start to unravel it with both hands. Because it is so tight as well you have to unravel a huge portion of it before you are able to put it on. A real mood killer. This of course impacts the feel, they feel unreasonably tight and have the sensation more of a vacuum seal bag than a second skin. Much more plastic in feel than I am used to. Normally as I say latex free feel essentially the same as a standard condom, however these felt very different. All in all I was very disappointed, for so recognised a brand in this space I was keen to see their offering. However the product is so impractical it significantly impacts the fundamental use of it. Not one I will be using again in the future.

Donโt do what they are meant to do
They are rubbish and donโt do the job they are meant to, as soon as I used one they split

I'm good with these - he doesn't complain = happy couple = 5***** rated !
If you, like 1-6% of the UK population, have a latex allergy then you need non-latex condoms for comfort and safety (and it's much, much higher rates for of nurses, from all that glove wearing at work!) But non-latex condoms have a higher rate of breaking - which is almost always due to two things [1] a poor fit that either stretches them, leaves them too loose or lets them slip off [2] failing to warm it up before putting it on (30 seconds in hot hands makes a BIG difference to how it goes on!) - remember this is a big, big difference if you've been used to latex ones and is essential to make them reliable so you HAVE to build this step into your foreplay. Don't do this and it won't unroll and tears. The "Skins" brand XLs are only 2mm wider than their standard size ones (which in turn are wider than many other brands) - but the real benefit is in length as these are 3cm longer. If it isn't long enough to unroll all the way to the base of him - it soon slips off when you get passionate. Don't trust him - men never get measurements right for sizing and as latex allergy rarely affects them - and don't always have the control to wait 30 seconds for warming it up - so you'll have to be the one taking the lead on measuring and showing him how to use them. These Skins brand are great - I got no itching afterwards and because it is longer, has had no slipping off at the wrong moment (it is hard to enjoy things if you are anxious and always reaching down to check!). Fit - the length of these is 19cm long - or just over 7 inches; the standards are 16cm - just over 6 inches. And yes - you have to measure it, as no man volunteers a size anything close to 6", trust me! Value - non-latex condoms cost more, as do special sizes - but what price keeping out of trouble and reducing anxiety? There are several brands with XL sizes - but only a few with latex-free options. I'm good with these - he doesn't complain as these are extra thin and give good feel- so if both are happy these have to get a 5* rating and I'd be happy to get them again.

Good sensation but they were really difficult to roll down
Truthfully, these were a real faff to put on. They have to be more or less body-warm to roll down with any semblance of ease as it's really difficult when it's just at room temperature. The PU material isn't as flexible or as expansive as latex so getting it on took a lot longer than normal though when it was finally on, it made a decent fit. There is some oily substance on the johnny that feels vaguley that has a clammy texture to it but dries quickly so lubricant is definitely needed. My other half and I gave them a go and the sensation was honestly pretty good, likely due to how thin the material is and it remained intact with activity. Unfortunately, there is a slightly unpleasant sound like cling film though it's not as bad as a femidom where it sounds like a crisp packet. If you have a latex allergy, of course these should be considered. Since I don't, there are less expensive latex options of the same size, fit and sensation that aren't a pain to put on. These won't be my first choice and they're certainly not my first recommendation if you don't have problems with latex.

Different but extremely comfortable
Ordered these condoms to try as even though I don't have a latex allergy, somehow always felt a bit weird with latex condoms and couldn't really feel much even when tried the ultra thin ones. My partner is on the larger side so normal condoms are usually a bit too tight and short for him so we ordered the Skins non - latex XL ones. I read the other reviews before trying, so I had a rough idea of what to expect and we had a very similar experience to most. We warmed the condom up as advised but it was still a bit of a challenge to roll it down. It's not very flexible it's almost like a plasticy ring. We had to faff around a bit to find out which is the right way to roll it from as it's so thin, but eventually managed to put it on with some careful force.. ๐ The fit is pretty good, even though it was hard to roll it through the top, once it was on, it didn't feel too tight or loose, it did that thermal moulding thing where it basically adjusts to your shape. The length was okay too, a bit better than the regular size. As it's not lubricated it feels a bit dry so you most likely need some lube. Once it was on, I (female) felt like there was almost no condom on, still slightly noticeable but I think it was the best condom experience I had. My partner (male) is circumsized so he's usually quite sensitive so he said it wasn't a very huge difference for him, but it was still an improvement from the latex ones we tried before. We mutually agreed that it's a very good condom and we'll probably stick to these types from now on. ๐ I would definitely not recommend it as a first date / brand new partner thing, unless you try it first by yourself as the faffing around with putting it on can ruin the mood. I think once you get the hang of it it's okay and for us it was worth the extra time of application and figuring it out as it provided a nicer, more comfortable experience. It will most likely be easier next time we use them. Overall they're very good condoms that might need some getting used to, but it's totally worth giving a try.
