Built to last!
I bought the same monitor in February 2020, right before the pandemic hit. It has been an outstanding monitor. When a smaller monitor died in my office, I knew which one I wanted to replace it with. Another Samsung C27F398. Good job Samsung!

Clear and Bright Display
I use product for Zoom meetings, video conferencing and general computer applications. The picture is bright and clear, graphics are sharp and clean. Nice curvature of screen provides great view of entire screen layout. Good value and performance.

Great Monitor
I got this monitor to work at home during the pandemic. It has been a great choice. I didn't want to spend $400. I think I got this for $160 and I've been more than happy with it. Easy set up, big enough for a desktop monitor without monopolizing all my desk space which is being shared with my work laptop. My laptop only has a VGA connection for an external monitor; I'm using a HDMI converter to connect to this monitor and it upscales to a full monitor display w/o any distortion, which my previous monitor did not. Very good product.

Terrific Monitor!
This monitor is terrific, especially for the price. The 27" curved display is gorgeous. I'm not using it for gaming, but for everyday work it is great. I really like the "blue light" option. It feels much more natural when you are staring at the screen 10 hours a day. I currently have 2 of these mounted and will certainly pull the trigger on more if I ever need another monitor. My 1 complaint - when you attach the "stem" for the monitor stand there isn't a way to remove it once it was clicked in and locked. I avoided that on my second, but the first still has it attached. Overall - I would recommend this to ANYONE looking for a large monitor.

2 out of 3 ain't bad, but 1 is.
I previously purchased one of these monitors directly from Samsung and loved it. I decided to buy three (3) "renewed" monitors to save a little money (1 additional for me, and 2 for my daughter's workstation). Well, 2 of 3 ordered were "renewed," in full packaging, with cables in sealed plastic bags, and with instructions and warranty documentation. However, 1 of the 3 monitors arrived damaged (screw-driver gouges & and a stand that would not "click" to lock in place), in a box with a lot of tape, with torn protective wrap re-applied to the monitor, and with missing documentation. It was obvious that this monitor was hastily returned by a previous purchaser, and not "renewed", and worse - not even inspected. It was just sent out to another customer. Buyer beware!

Perfect for a cheap surround screen
I bought 2 of these to mount side-by-side for work as a software developer. Granted there is the small 3/4 inch combined bezel from the 2 monitors but for 1/10th the cost of a single monitor of the same size I can not complain. Eventually I may replace them but I have ZERO complaints on their performance, brightness, and clarity after 2 year of use.

VERY< VERY NICE!
What a great monitor for the money. I've been using it for video and photo editing and it really is nice and crisp with a great color rendition. It's also great for gaming too. Some have complained about viewing spread sheets with this monitor, but I have not found this to be the case. I am very pleased with this and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality, low cost monitor.

Thinner screen, but with great compromise
I am comparing this to an older Samsung 27" curved screen I bought in 2016, S27D590C [old]. This product I am reviewing is on the right in my pictures, and the old one is on the left (except for the picture comparing the curvature). BEWARE - the stand is NOT removable, so test your screen before installing the stand. It has a plastic latch that 'clicks' internally and cannot be detached. First, the LC27F398FWNXZA [new] is cheaper by about 50 bucks compared to when I bought the old one 4 years ago. That said, it lacks a VGA port and the screen quality is worse in comparison. See my photos for the gradient test (worse) and black test (better). The gradient test indicates the color bit depth is worse, and this is noticeable when color banding starts showing up in images. By default, the new one also has a slightly purplish tinge, but this can be adjusted in the settings. Also there are no speakers, but there is a 1/8 audio jack. To me, the screen is too curved (see image, left). My old one was advertised that through studies they found the perfect curvature to match the angle of the eye, and I agree! The image on the old one appears flat to my perspective. The new one is noticeably over-curved, no matter how close or far I sit facing it. Why change it when they had it perfect already? The thinner screen is nice, but what is the point when the stand's footprint takes up so much more space? You can also see this in my image. Not only is the stand not adjustable in height, it is not detachable after installing it (as I mentioned above). The old one takes up less space and is detachable. TLDR; Samsung seems to have gone backwards compared to an older model I have. It has a thinner screen, but because the stand takes up a larger footprint, that renders that benefit pointless. One fewer port, no speakers, worse quality screen, an over-curved angle, and a non-detachable stand - these losses to me are greater than the $50 price difference. I bought this screen used. At retail price, I don't think it's worth it.
