Really comfortable and easy to use.
I was a bit dubious at first as I tend to be really heavy the first few days and leak a lot. So I made sure I had extra protection but I need not have worried as I have not leaked since I bought this. Itโs easy to fit and really you donโt notice it once it is in. I had a couple of issues with getting it out mostly because the suction was too good and I could not get a decent grip but just used a bit of tissue and it was fine. I really like this.

Love it
Bought the Lena cup specifically as it was advertised as sensitive and its my first time using a cup again since having a baby and I must say that it is exactly as advertised. It's incredibly comfortable and easy to place and no leaks at all. Highly recommend!

Ok
I ordered a L based on looking into the cup & customer service agreement. Iโm a first time user but have watched many YouTube videos and googling etc. This cup seems to sit on my bladder, making urinating very slow. It doesnโt always pop & requires a lot of fiddling (pressing the walls to try make extra room for it to expand). Iโve tried the different fold methods, inserting lower and higher (it couldnโt go any lower without it showing!). Emptying several times a day to try and get used to it or to correct leaking (cup not full) Customer service went over a few techniques to try, which I have done. Iโd like to try the Small cup as Iโve read these issues could be due to incorrect size & Iโd also like to try it on lighter days, but seems that they actually want L returned to them although itโs been used!! Apparently it will be destroyed but that is completely gross and something Iโm definitely not comfortable with! I went with this brand for their 100% satisfaction guarantee - but Iโm not satisfied at all. Edit::: They have now offered a full refund so I can purchase the size S without returning the L. The S has been great, it doesnโt press on my bladder & actually unfolds so much easier

It is so nice
It is very nice. I have never had a pregnancy, and I am 33 years old and 68 kilos. I ordered a large size as I did not want to have leakage (I have heavy period). I love it. It is comfy.

Outstanding customer service
I had trouble with my Lena cup fitting properly, and received outstanding customer service from this company. They provided lots of advice on how to use the cup, and ultimately when I was still having difficulties, sent an alternative cup for free to see if this one worked better for me. I cannot recommend them enough.

Comfortable
This is a great alternative to tampons and the instructional pamphlet was very helpful for a first time user.

Ok as a first cup
Makes it hard for me to pee when my bladder is full but very easy for first time user. Can be bit uncomfortable on lighter days.

Very finnicky menstrual cup user here. Very sensitive (have vulvodynia). I've used cups over the course of a couple years once my cycles came back postpartum. I've used S**oon Cup and Blos**m Cup, and now this Lena sensitive one. S**oon Cup was very stiff, uncomfortable for me, could only wear for a couple of the first days of a period without irritation. I found Blos**m Cup after that and it was much more flexible and comfortable. I tossed it when I got pregnant because I had used it quite a while and then it would be sitting there for like 18 months unused and I wanted to start out fresh when I got period again. Well, I finally had a chance to use this Lena Sensitive. My last baby was huge so I figured even though I'm petite, I should go with the Size 2 as I imagine things got relaxed internally. It was a good choice for me. I steam sterilize it with Pixie Cup Sterilizer. PROS: - unbelievably soft and flexible, even the rim - silicone is smoother, not as matte finish as others, which makes it easier to clean and rinse - has three prominent rings at the base to get a grip with fingers when removing (the ridges you don't feel at all) - has excellent suction - easy to clean, no had to wash areas (stem area is solid if you snip it off so nothing collects in there) - the size 2 has good capacity, no leaks or overflows on heavy days CONS: - the stem (this is a problem for me with all cups, so I snipped it off right away because it felt not good; however, technically the stem is very flexible if you don't have sensitivity problems, don't worry the rings give you enough grip to easily remove without the stem) - the cup does have some length, but not excessively, but I seem to have a higher cervix Highly recommend this cup! Make sure you just relax when you insert it because I had not good luck getting it to open if I wasn't relaxed. Great success just starting over and relaxing, quite good seal. I can't feel it at all when it is in.

I consider myself somewhat of a cup nerd/ cup expert as Iโve been using cups since I was 13 and now Iโm almost 20. In my opinion, they are the best menstrual product. Unfortunately, Iโve been having severe chronic pelvic pain recently due to problems with a hypertonic pelvic floor, and my previous Goldilocks cup (DivaCup) made my pain worse. I was afraid I wouldnโt be able to use cups anymore... until I found the Put A Cup In It (PACII) quiz! I canโt believe in all my years of using and trying new cups Iโd overlooked this quiz. I seriously recommend that anyone who is in the market for a cup take the quiz whether youโre looking for your first cup, youโre a cup expert looking for something new to try, and especially if you are having issues with the cup(s) youโve been using. The PACII site also has a guide explaining the different firmnesses of cups. The DivaCup is listed as having average firmness, while the normal Lena cup is listed as firm-average and the Lena Sensitive was listed as being soft-average. A firmer cup can put more pressure on the bladder, so if youโre having issues with that Iโd recommend checking out that guide in addition to taking the quiz. One of the cups recommended to me by the quiz was the Lena Sensitive Large. Since it is specifically made for people with bad cramps and pelvic floor issues I decided to try it and Iโm so glad I did! The cup comes in small cardboard box with really nice storage pouch that has a nice pattern on it, which I personally prefer over the pink DivaCup storage bag. The bag isnโt the biggest deal, but I still appreciate it. It also comes with a user guide which is easy to read and understand. What I love about the user guide is that unlike some with other cups, it is inclusive and never mentions โwomenโ as the only ones who menstruate, which I really appreciate as I am non-binary. I checked out Lenaโs website as well and I didnโt see anything about the word โwomenโ being used to describe people who menstruate. Thatโs a huge deal to me and really appreciate it. I hope other brands can learn from this and make the language in their advertising more inclusive and accurate as well. Onto the actual cup itself: It is made of nice high quality silicone (it is the actual Lena brand, this cup is not a fake or knockoff like some cups on Amazon) Insertion was easy and smooth, and it popped open easily. (I was a little worried about that since some softer cups sometimes donโt pop open easily) It usually pops all the way open upon insertion, if it doesnโt open all the way all I had to do was press on the base of the cup to get it to open up completely. The suction isnโt the strongest compared to other cups Iโve used but I didnโt really have issues with leaks so it worked out fine. Removal was also smooth and easy. I simply pinched the cup at the base, and folded it to get it out as I would with any other cup. Like I mentioned before, Iโve been using cups for a long time and Iโve tried a lot of them, so most of them are really easy for me to use, but this cup went in extremely smoothly for me, more so than any other cup Iโve tried, so I think this cup would also be a good choice for a beginner. This cup has a capacity of 30 ml, which is comparable to most other large size cups, and is way more capacity than the average menstruator would need. My flow is pretty light so I canโt fully attest to that, but it probably would be good for someone with a very heavy flow. Best of all, I had no issues with this cup making my pain worse! Overall, Iโd really recommend this cup to someone with pelvic floor issues, or even someone who just has issues with cups irritating their bladder. Iโd still recommend that everyone take the PACII quiz before buying though!

I have used menstrual cups for 15 years, this one is at the top of my favorite list. Easy to insert, im very sensitive and any colored cups cause an allergic reaction. This one is perfect. I have ridden horses, gone swimming, hiking and hiit workouts, never had a leak. I experience Dysmenorrhea and tampons and pads dont last more than maybe 2 hours at most. Tampons also give me horrible cramps, Lena cup does not and it handles a heavy heavy day for 6 hours.

I first learned about menstrual cups when I saw that the period subscription box I was using offered Softcups. I was intrigued by the concept, so I gave them a try...and I loved them! This led me to look into reusable cups. Softcups are shaped and function very differently than reusable cups, so I did quite a bit of research before settling on Lena cups. The main cup that comes to mind when people mention menstrual cups is the Diva cup; however, I learned that Diva cups are some of the largest menstrual cups available, and that they're not a great fit for everyone. The cup has to be small enough to properly expand and lightly suction to the walls of your vagina. If it's too large, it won't seal and can collapse, which causes leaks and is also uncomfortable. Since I wasn't really sure how to measure myself, I didn't want to risk wasting a good bit of money on a cup that might be too big. So, I spent hours researching for some of the smallest cups I could find. I compared the width of the rim and the length of the body (not including the stem) of so many brands. It was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be since many brands don't list the measurements. It's great that most brands have a large and a small option, but one brand's small can be larger than another brand's large, which is maddening! For example, the small Diva is 43mm wide and 53mm long, while the large Lena cup is smaller at 45mm wide and 50.7mm long. The small Lena is 41mm wide and 46mm long, so it is significantly smaller than the small Diva. I believe the small Lena is a much better size for first-time users, unless you are absolutely certain that your cervix sits high during menstruation and can use a longer cup. Other things to consider when choosing a cup are what it's made of, where it was made, and what safety standards it meets. Lena cups are made of medical grade silicone, are made in the USA, and are FDA-registered, so I was confident that it was safe to use. Now, for what I love about my SMALL Lena cup (details for this large at the bottom, but this list still mostly applies to it): โข No more leaks!!! I've never had a leak during the day or even overnight, and I can actually wear nice underwear with confidence knowing that they won't be ruined. It holds so much more than the tampons I was using. When I first starting using this cup, I emptied it every few hours (like I did with tampons), and it was nowhere close to being full. I can safely go all day without having to empty the cup. โข No more dealing with my period in a public restroom! I only have to empty it when I wake up and right before bed, which is the best thing ever! I can't even express how much I love not having to deal with it during the day. Public bathrooms are already not ideal, so not having to worry about changing a tampon is a huge plus! On heavy days (which are rare), I might have to empty it once during the day, but I literally have never needed to empty it in a public restroom in the 17 months that I've been using this cup...compared to changing tampons every few hours. If I do need to empty it in a public restroom, it's nice that I don't need to carry anything with me, and it's no messier than changing a tampon. โข Better for my vagina! Tampons don't discriminate when they're absorbing, so they can really dry you out (and anyone who has ever pulled out a dry tampon knows how freaking painful that it is!). That messes with pretty much everything up there, especially the good bacteria and your pH level. They also increase your risk of developing toxic shock syndrome (TSS) because they absorb and trap any bad bacteria. Cups don't mess with any of that. Since they don't absorb anything, your vagina remains unchanged, so there's no bounce-back time after your period where it needs to rebuild the supply of good bacteria and get back to a healthy pH level. Your risk of developing TSS is also much, much lower, so menstrual cups are safer to use over longer periods of time. โข Better for the environment and my wallet! I love that there's no trash (wrapper, applicator, the tampon itself) each time I use my cup. When you think about the thousands of tampons you'd use throughout your life, that's a lot of waste that won't end up in a landfill. And for the price of a few boxes of tampons, you'll get years of use out of a cup (as long as you take care of it). I'm saving a ton of money by not buying tampons every month, and I'm reducing the amount of waste I produce, so that's a win-win. I really don't have any negatives for my small cup. It has some minor staining after 17 months of use, which is completely normal and will happen with any cup you buy. I'm sure a dilute hydrogen peroxide soak will make it look brand new again. I recently bought some backup Lena cups, so I've included pictures of the new ones (a small pink compared to this large clear). I was curious to try the large, since the small works so well. It did fully open, but it was harder to remove because there was more suction and it was just a bigger cup to remove. I probably could have worn it with no problems once I got used to it. However, I will continue to use my smalls, and I will just keep the large for after I have children. I also showed what the rim of the large looks like for two different folds (the C/U fold and the origami fold) so you can see approximately what size it'll be for inserting it. Keep in mind there are many different ways to fold a cup, and it's completely up to personal preference. If you've read through this mini-essay of a review, I hope it helped! The condensed version is that I cannot recommend Lena cups enough! They have truly changed everything about my period experience, and I no longer dread when it arrives. Do your research, look up tips, watch YouTube videos, and give them a try!!

This review will be lengthy and detailed. If you're unable to discuss menstrual processes, please discontinue reading. Packaging: It comes in an easy to open box, with a cloth pouch to keep the cup dust free. I store it in the pouch inside the box. Instructions: They are included in a booklet and very plainly written. The explanations are also thorough and the recommendations for how to fold and insert the cup into the vaginal canal are very useful. Read through the booklet before use, as there are some tips and suggestions that I found extremely helpful. You might as well. Keep in mind that if you vary slightly from what the book explains, that is fine. All bodies are different, and you may need to adjust your method accordingly. Product: The cup is made of soft silicone. It's flexible and very sturdy. You will see a series of small holes at the top under the lip of the cup; those are for suction. You may assume the strength of the material will feel uncomfortable, but it is most definitely not. The bottom of the cup has an elongated nib used to position and pull the cup forward. It's also useful for insertion, to guide the cup into the most comfortable and best position to catch your flow. It is no longer than an average tampon and the width of the opening is not large. First Use: I washed the cup thoroughly with hot water and anti bacterial soap. The silicone bends and flexes incredibly well and I spent some time trying the flexibility before insertion. The booklet recommends trying the cup before your period to determine the best method for insertion, the depth and also to let one test out how to fit the cup without the mess of blood everywhere. I did this and was able to work with the "7 fold" the best. Use with Menstrual Cycle: Again, I washed the cup thoroughly with hot water and antibacterial soap and folded it into the shape of a 7, inserted with a leg propped up. I was luckily in the shower, so this was an extremely convenient time to start my period. Once inside, I had to insert a finger to move the fold over and then the nib to move the entire cup into place. It conformed to walls of my canal nicely and the flex of the silicone meant I could leave the nib out a bit and it is not uncomfortable. I slept through the entire night with no leaks. The booklet recommends removal for cleaning and dumping the blood no more than every 12 hours, which is perfect for me. Removal goes as such - relaxed muscle, find nib and move side to side, push muscles as one would expect to have to do during the birthing process, find the ribbed butt of the cup, SQUEEZE (I put that in caps because if you don't pinch the bottom of the cup, you are not going to be able to remove the cup at all and that could potentially tear the vaginal tissue so please remember to squeeze) and pull "bottom first" meaning you want to pull it out so that your blood will flow into the toilet. I noticed a ring of tissue around the rim, which is to be expected as discharge during period is quite normal. Please note that your blood should not have the usual period smell, but rather a slightly metallic odor and your blood may be black or a very dark red as the cells die quickly. Clean with soap and hot water, ensuring a thorough rinse and then insert as you had the first time. You're solid for 12 hours. Observations: I am 36, no kids. My vaginal canal is still rather small, and I found the larger size to be slightly uncomfortable, causing a very mild pressure in my abdomen. I cannot say for certain that this is due to the cup, as I generally get that feeling during my period, however. The product is not difficult to use, but relaxing and concentration are a must. I chose not to cup the nib at all, as I find it very useful when removing. The cup cleans easily as water and blood tend to bead right off. I have experienced no other discomfort, and am very happy to be pad and tampon free. Pros: There is no uncomfortable "period" feeling as with pads or tampons. I do not worry about odor, or soaking through a tampon, bleeding through my pants or ruining my underwear. I also don't have the uncomfortable tampon fit, which is wonderful! no panty liner, which is also great. The nib does not stick out at all and I basically don't feel anything unusual. I sincerely wish I purchased this ages ago. Do yourself a favor and purchase a cup, if not this exact brand. There is a customer service line, and they have a website with some amazing feedback and reviews. Con: I bought the large, and while it is a tad too big, I was concerned about the seal not working and this seemed ideal. I have a condition wherein my bladder lining is inflamed, causing me to feel the urge to urinate all the time. The cup makes it slightly worse, but it's not unbearable. And that's nothing against the cup itself, but my own condition. I will not be using pads or tampons again if I can help it.
