The best earplugs money can buy.
These earplugs are awesome. I am writing this review after 1 day of night use of these earplugs. Here's what I would like to share:- Procedure and Method off inserting the earplugs correctly:- Clean your hands before you use these earplugs. Afterwards, take one earplug in your hand. You have to then apply pressure on it with your fingers and thumbs evenly by rolling it and shrinking it to the size of a cylinder or a bullet. Take care while rolling and shrinking it. Do not apply too much pressure while rolling or else creases or wrinkles might form on the earplug, which can decrease it's sound blocking efficacy, instead press slowly and carefully till it forms the desired cylinder/bullet shape. After the desired shape is formed, immediately lift the top of your ear to enlarge the inner opening of your ear and insert and push the earplug into the ear deep down but slowly. If you only insert the earplug halfway or only a little bit then it will not be able to do it's job properly, so push the earplug deep and subsequently hold the earplug from the outside for a minute. By holding the earplug in this position, it allows the earplug to inflate itself inside the ear canal and totally seal it from the inside to block the outside noses effectively. Follow this same process for inserting the second earplug too. Insert the earplugs one at a time. Remember, once the desired shape is formed after pressing and rolling the earplug, without wasting a second, immediately insert it in the ear or else it will start inflating once again in your hand. Sound blocking efficacy:- I kept these earplugs in my ears for the whole night. They are very soft and after inserting them in the ears, it didn't feel too heavy or irritating. With passing time, I am pretty sure, I will get used to them, having them inside my ears. After inserting the earplugs, all outside noises were blocked by almost 90 to 95%. I could barely hear the blaring noises outside my house which falls on a busy road. Inside my room, I couldn't hear the humming noise of my air conditioner. My spouse snores at night in a medium range. Being a light sleeper, I used to wake up due to this snoring noise but after putting these earplugs, approximately 85% of the snoring noise got blocked. What I heard was a very faint and negligible snoring noise and that too got completely blocked when I slept on my sideways. Basically, I am a sideways sleeper and this helped me too. I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed and all I could do is to thank these wonderful earplugs for doing it's job perfectly. Procedure for taking out the earplugs from the ears:- While taking out these earplugs from your ears, make sure that you don't pull them out directly and rapidly or else you may damage your ears. Instead, take them out by twisting and turning them slowly. Once they are out, put them in a seperate sealed small container. Do not put them in the plastic container in which you received them or else they will get mixed with the other unused earplugs. As per what I have researched, one pair of these earplugs will last for atleast 5 to 6 uses which makes them economical. Precautions:- 1) After you take out one pair from the packed plastic container for use, reseal the container properly with the foil provided and close the cap of the plastic container tightly so as to not let air pass inside the container or else the unused earplugs inside might get spoiled. 2) After using the earplugs, do not wash them with water or any other liquid or try to clean them in any way. Just put them seperately in a small, sealed container meant only for storing them. 3) once you feel that the noises are not getting blocked well and the earplugs are not holding tight inside the ears and are falling off continuously even after inserting them properly, then it's time to take out a new pair for use. In all, personally I feel that these earplugs by Mack's are the best ones amongst the lot. Always use these ultrasoft earplugs only as they are very soft and hence it doesn't hurt or irritate your ears. PS:- If you don't follow the correct method of inserting these earplugs into your ears then you will not get the desired result and then you will end up in only criticizing the earplugs for it's non performance, so kindly follow the method as shown by me above. You can also find these instructions on the label of the plastic container in which these earplugs are packed. I hope this information will help everyone who want to buy good earplugs. Regards.

Essentials for the noisy world we live in
I can sleep peacefully at night, or during the day. I can workout peacefully in the gym without any background noise or music as distractions. I can focus at work and be able to work distraction free in the office. These earplugs have changed my life drastically and I can’t recommend them enough.

Softer than your softest sliced bread
Supremely comfortable. They block decent amount of sound, which is very helpful for sound-sensitive sleepers or those who sleep during daytime - or even just to tolerate fireworks or any particularly loud people around you. Glad they are now available from a local seller; it's much cheaper than paying shipping+duty to get them from amazon.com Do note that these can make your ear canals sweat if you wear them in hot/humid weather. But that's the nature of all ear plugs. They are more suitable for a colder climate or an air-conditioned environment, so I can't blame this product for it.

Not effective.
I purchased these earplugs for blocking external sounds, these earplugs are comfortable, but does not block any sound. only low level of sound reduction. Very disappointed, waste of money.

Not too good, not too bad; great VFP but no match for EAR Classic
I’ve been using earplugs for 25+ years, so I should know: These earplugs (Mack’s) are great value for money but.. OK, let’s see: Pros: (a) High noise cancellation when you push them all the way in (b) Contoured, so it’s easy to push them in Cons: (a) Even though the material is soft, they press *way* too hard against the ear canal if you get them all the way in!! (b) If you try, say, inserting only half and a bit, the noise cancellation drops drastically. (c) The material is *smooth* on the outside, which shouldn’t ideally be the case; what happens is they “stick” to your ear—so you need to be really careful and slow when you’re pulling them out. (d) The plus in the pack of 50 are not consistent; you might pick two and they’ll be fine—and the next two will be too tight or uncomfortable or something like that. On the whole, a great buy *depending on* the sensitivity of your ear canal and the level of noise cancellation you need—so until you try them, you won’t know if your money is being well spent. For some people, these might be too uncomfortable; other people will do just fine with lower-noise-cancellation earplugs. My take? There’s no beating E-A-R Classic. I used them for a couple of decades before my stock ran out; I bought these just because they’re contoured, but... the contouring doesn’t seem to help.

Sleep like a baby!
Perfect for a noisy area, especially if your house is on the main road. Although the sound of the horn doesn't completely disappear, it has been reduced by 90%. Any white noise, such as engine sounds and fan sounds, is completely blocked - 100%. Slept like a baby after ages.

Five Brand Comparison - These are #1
Because my ears have very narrow ear canals, and one of them takes a 90 degree bend and goes straight up, I am particular about my ear plugs. Because I use earplugs for active motor sports, shooting, and chainsaw work in Hawaii, over the ear protection isn't always practical. I recently purchased 5 different brands of earplugs and put them to the test. Here's what I found, sorted for most to least favorite. Mack's Ultra Soft - My personal favorite, and at $0.17/pair, also the least expensive. They share the same small diameter of the Hearos Ultimate Softness, but are a bit more firm and a few millimeters longer. So, for me, they did a better job of subjective sound dampening, and were a bit easier to grip and pull back out. My tests are mostly in warm weather. In very cold weather, these could be too firm for some users. The Mack's and Hearos Ultimate Softness both shared the same smaller diameter. Hearos Ultimate Softness - These were the softest, most comfortable plugs I tested. At $0.18/pair they were the second cheapest, and also my second favorite. My daughter doesn't like earplugs, as they really bother her ears, but she was at least able to tolerate these. I think most people would be pretty happy with these, however, they were not my favorite for two reasons. First reason is that they seemed to stop slightly less high-pitched sound than the other plugs. All the plugs are rated at 33 db, but that's because that is all they are allowed to be rated. Subjectively, these were at the lower end of sound blocking, but still adequate for most tasks. My only other "complaint" is that these seemed to take the longest to spring back to shape and fill the ear because they are very soft, and they are somewhat shorter than the Macks. This makes them feel a bit like they might fall out for the first minute or two, and their 2-3 millimeter shorter length makes them every so slightly more difficult to grip and remove. Both minor complaints, and these are very good plugs. Hearos Xtreme Protection - As the name implies, subjectively, these blocked the most sound of all the ones I tested. They have the same larger diameter as the 3M plugs, but are easily twice as soft/half as firm. They gave a very full feeling to the ears, but were not uncomfortable. At $0.39/pair, they were the most expensive plugs tested. They were the most effective and were quite comfortable, but the Mack's were 95% as good, and less than half the cost. These went into my shooting kit and would be my third selection, for use when max protection for a shorter wear period is ideal. Flents Quiet Contour. These plugs have a bell shape. I did not find that the shape made any improvement to sound dampening. These were on par with the Mack's for noise suppression. The downside of the wide end is that there is more material in your outer ear, which could be uncomfortable for some, and also perhaps less aesthetically appealing. However, if you're in charge of safety compliance, that extra bit makes it much easier to visually see that someone is wearing hearing protection, and it did leave more to grip for removing the plugs. At $0.30/pair, these were the second most expensive, and I do not recommend. 3M 1100 - These are what was issued to me for my 22 years of military service, and the benchmark from which I was judging. About the only positive thing I'll say about them is that they came individually packaged by pairs, so you can carry or store them in dirty or wet environment easily, but these were absolutely the least comfortable of the ones I tested. I paid $ 0.27/pair for them which puts them in the middle of the pack price wise. For me, they are much too firm, and also have the largest diameter of the group. In very cold weather, they would be nearly solid. They quickly made my ears sore/itchy. As much as I usually love 3M products, I do not recommend these. For those who care about such things, I tested these several ways. I wore each pair for about an hour just to get subjective feel for long term comfort. The exception was the 3M, which I could not leave in the entire hour because they were uncomfortable. Then to test for noise reduction, I put one brand in one ear and a different brand in the other ear and work for half an hour, then switch ears. During the test, I listened to speech, music, traffic noise, etc, and noted which plugs seemed to be most effective.

Review: Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs
Overview: Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs are tailored to provide effective noise reduction and comfort with a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 32 decibels. These earplugs are designed for a variety of uses, including sleeping, traveling, and attending noisy events. Pros: Superior Comfort: Made from Comfy Cush Comfort Foam, these earplugs are designed to be ultra-comfortable, adapting to the shape of the ear for extended wear. Effective Noise Blocking: With a high NRR of 32 decibels, they effectively reduce noise, making them ideal for multiple environments and activities. Versatile Use: Endorsed as the #1 brand by doctors for snoring, sleeping, and hearing protection, they cater to a broad audience. Quality Assurance: Manufactured in the USA, these earplugs meet stringent quality and safety standards and come in a convenient, safety-sealed container. Cons: Size Fit Issues: Users with smaller ear openings might find these earplugs less comfortable, as their size can cause discomfort or inadequate fit in smaller ears. Not Completely Silent: They significantly reduce noise but do not block it completely, which may not meet the needs of those requiring total silence. Morning Discomfort: Some users report feeling discomfort when wearing the earplugs for an entire night, noticing them in their ears upon waking. Final Thoughts: Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs offer robust noise reduction and are highly recommended for their comfort and effectiveness. However, those with smaller ear canals should consider the potential fit issue before purchase. Despite this, the earplugs' overall performance, coupled with their endorsements and quality manufacturing, make them a valuable choice for many looking to reduce noise exposure in various settings.

Super Comfy
I highly recommend this for sleeping. I'm working shift hours as a firefighter. After many years in the service, I’ve developed sensitivity to sounds. Probably because during night duty, we have to be alert even during our short naps. These earplugs solve the problem when I want to sleep at home during the day after my night duty. Not only it is very soft and comfy, but it also blocks surroundings sound very well. I'm a side sleeper and I can hardly feel any uncomfortable effects from these earplugs.

Saved my sleep (and my marriage) – 7 years and counting!
1. Price & Value Amazon consistently has the best price and fastest delivery, so I’ve been repurchasing here for years. Great value for such a life-changing product. 2. Quality & Performance These earplugs block out my husband’s loud snoring almost completely. They’re soft, comfortable, and stay in place all night without irritation. 3. Comfort & Experience I used to sleep well, but after getting married, my husband’s snoring got so bad I could barely sleep at all. He tried every anti-snoring device out there, but nothing worked – he’d just take them off in his sleep. One day he brought home these earplugs, and it was a total game-changer. I finally had a full night’s sleep again, and I’ve been using them for 7 years now. 4. Pros & Cons Pros: Excellent noise reduction Soft and comfortable for all-night wear Affordable and easy to repurchase on Amazon Reliable for long-term use Cons: None for me 5. Final Verdict If you have a snoring partner, these are a must-have. They’ve given me back my sleep and my sanity.
