eSUN PLA Basic Filament 1.75mm, 1KG Spool (2.2 LBS) High Speed Printing 3D Printer PLA Filament,Designed for Fast Printing, Light Grey

This PLA filament has been solid for everyday printing. It feeds smoothly, sticks well to the build plate, and produces clean prints with good detail. I’ve run it through both my Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo and FlashForge AD5M without any issues like clogging or inconsistent extrusion. Layer adhesion is good, and I didn’t have to do much tuning to get decent results. It prints well at standard PLA temps and doesn’t string too badly if your settings are dialed in. The spool was also wound neatly, which helps avoid tangles mid-print. Color looks accurate to what’s advertised, and the finish comes out smooth on most prints. For basic parts, prototypes, or general use, it does exactly what you’d expect from PLA.

This 3D printer filament has been excellent from start to finish. It feeds smoothly with zero tangling, and I’ve had consistent extrusion on every print. The diameter is spot-on, which makes a big difference in print quality—no random blobs or under-extrusion issues. Layer adhesion is strong, and the finished prints come out clean with great detail. I’ve run both simple and more complex prints, and everything has turned out exactly how I hoped. It also sticks well to the bed without needing a ton of extra tweaking. Another big plus is how neatly it’s spooled—no knots or headaches mid-print. Overall, this filament is reliable, easy to work with, and produces great results. Definitely a go-to choice for both everyday prints and more detailed projects.

This is actually a very beautiful, almost blood-red colored, PLA filament. While other brands like Creality have a really beautiful bright red, eSun also has this beautiful dark red. Sometimes it's hard to find that perfect shade of color you're looking for... If you want something that is on the darker side of red, this is your filament to grab! The only down side to this filament is that eSun still uses cardboard spools, and yes, they still get warped in the packing process, and will suffer the fate of bent spool walls. Although the edges of this spool were closed and sealed, and I didn't see any potential issues with using them in my AMS, I always tend to distrust cardboard spools, and will always tend to respool them to a plastic spool if I have a blank spare on hand. I re-spooled this onto a plastic spool. I also didn't like the appearance of the filament near the center of the spool. The filament was very wavy and not uniform in shape. Filament was dried immediately after arrival, and showed no issues during printing that were abnormal. When I ran this filament thru my BIQU filament scanner it came out with a TD of ~ 3.0 and a HEX color code of 361A21. I tested several spots along the spool, and all read pretty much the same with very minor variation. For all the issues with the cardboard spool that were seen in my experience, I'd give this filament an 8.7/10. Sure, it has some issues with how they pack it, but I'd still highly recommend it to anyone just for the color and ease of printing alone. Once you get the good filament off the cardboard spool, everything is headed towards the positive.

This filament is a great price, and super high quality! I've never had it break or tangle, and it's true to color. Will be ordering more, this will be my go-to for base colors.

We use PLA and often PETG (for outdoors items) on our printers (Bambu and Qidi) to print household and decorative items. This brand printed well and without any flaws and clogs. First layer adhesion is great and we did not have any issues. The filament is priced right -especially on the multipacks- and is shipped very fast. We always look for well priced quality PLA and PETG this brand worked well for us. Please note the cardboard spools, we used SUNLU and Bambu reuseable spools to avoid problems. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using eSUN PLA Basic for a variety of prints, and overall I’m impressed with its consistency and ease of use. The filament feeds smoothly, with minimal clogging or stringing even on longer prints. It prints well across a range of temperatures, and the layers bond nicely with good overall surface finish straight off the printer. Come is the standard 1.75mm size, which was true to form. The color quality and opacity are solid, and spools are well wound with no tangles. For standard prototypes, functional prints, or decorative pieces, this PLA delivers reliable results at a very reasonable price point. It’s not specialty filament—so if you need super-high strength, flexible materials, or advanced properties, other products would be better suited—but for everyday PLA printing, this is a dependable choice. Highly recommended for hobbyists and beginners alike.

I have a BambuLabs A1 and A1 Mini with the AMS Lite, and I have never had a problem with eSun PLA filament. Generally, I order it in bulk, and it's probably around 75% of the filament that I use. The filament is good quality and within the limits for my printers. It is rare for me to have a tangle that shuts down my printing, and even rarer for me to need to put it into a filament dryer. Of all the spools I have used, the only one that needed drying sat out for weeks. eSun is a great value for your money, especially if you get their 2-4 packs. I will continue to buy eSun for the majority of my filament needs. This review is only for their PLA filament, as I have not used their PETG or any other filament yet. I still have multiple spools of other brands that I rarely use, but when I need PETG, I will check with eSun first to make sure they have the color I need.
